"Kaylin Rose Jackson, the day I met you I knew there was something. The way your smile lit up my day, was incomparable to anything else. I met you three days after my little sister died and you made me smile for the first time since she was diagnosed. You brought light to my cloudy days and you kept all the monsters away. I love you more than anything in this world and today I promise you every last thing I can give you in this world." Quen said, tears welling in his eyes.

Now it was Kaylin's turn.

"Quentin, you made me smile a genuine smile for the first time in five years the day I met you. And I'll forever be grateful. I don't have much to say, because I can't put into words how amazing you are and how important you are to me. All I can say is that I would do absolutely anything humanly possible to make you happy. And you can trust me when I say, I love you more than I've ever loved anyone else in this world." She smiles, dabbing tears from her eyes using the tissue I suggested.

I feel so important.

"Do you Quentin Erikson, take thee Kaylin Jackson to be your lawfully wedded wife? In sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, till death do you part?"

"I do."

"And do you, Kaylin Jackson, take the Quentin Erikson to be your lawfully wedded husband? In sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, till death do you part?"

"I do."

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." And with that Quentin crashed his lips onto Kaylin's.

I looked over at Asher who was staring at me, with a look that told me that'd be us soon enough.

They pulled apart and walked off of the beach, Asher and I, along with the other bridesmaids and groomsmen followed behind.

An hour or two of photos later we were finally headed to the reception. This will be fun.

We sat in the huge dining hall that had a makeshift dance floor set up in the centre. I was sipping on my bottle of beer and playing with the silky fabric of my turquoise dress while Asher was dancing around with his brothers on the dance floor.

I smiled over at them while taking another swig from my bottle.

Granted, at times Asher can still be an egotistical jerk, but not when it comes to them.

He glanced over at me, the smile never leaving his face and winked.

I mouthed 'I love you' to him, making his smile widen.

His smile is one of the most heart stopping things I've ever seen. If I could keep one thing, forever in my mind, if would be the always genuine smile that graced his features.

To think, just weeks ago, he was in such a dark place, all because his mum passed. Being able to see his show-stopping smile for the first time in a long time, was enough to make me want to move heaven and earth to ensure that his smile would never fade.

Damn... I'm pretty philosophical and poetic when I wanna be.

After a few songs, Asher walked over, leaving the boys on the dance floor, under the overbearing supervision of my dad and Philipa.

"May I have this dance milady?" He asked putting out his hand.

"Certainly good sir." I smiled putting my drink down and grabbing his hand.

He pulled me to the dance floor and spun me around before we started slow dancing to the generic upbeat disco music.

"I love you a lot Cara." He said.

"I love you too." I smiled.

"One day this will be us. You'll be looking beautiful as always, and we'll be dancing and celebrating, you'll be my wife and I'll be your husband." He smiled as we danced.

"I wish it would come sooner."

We slow danced the whole night away to techno disco pop music, the warmth of being in his arms was enough to keep me safe forever more.
