- Elenie -

Elenie pondered over what her mum had told her that night for the next few months. She still couldn't believe that Sirius Black was her father. It just seemed weird to her. However, she still trusted her Mother, after all, her Mother had raised her and was technically Elenie's bestfriend for all these years. She was still so close to her Mum, even at thirteen years old.

But now Elenie felt closer than ever to her Mother. Since she had been given the diary, she hadn't stopped reading it and she kept delving further and further into her Mother and Father's past.

Dear Diary,

It is officially my twentieth day as a seventh year at Hogwarts. We've nearly been back here a month already! I just can't believe we're leaving this year! It's gone so quickly! Today, I've been taking care of Lily. After what Snape called her the other day, or Snivellus, as James and Sirius call him, she's still really upset. She's not in my dorm this year either, because she's Head Girl and she's got her own Common Room room and dorm with James Potter. I still can't believe he's been made Head Boy. Who in their right mind would do such a thing?!

This week Sirius Black's new love interest is my cousin, Hannah McKinnon, myself and her sister, Marlene, told her she's being silly, but she won't listen. Soon she'll pay the price. Sirius is a ladies man. Hannah never thinks about who she dates and the consequences that she might face. Anyway, our family don't get on with the Black family. Aunt Georgia and Uncle Ian will never agree with Hannah dating one of them!

There's something fishy going on with those Marauders anyway. I don't trust them. Except for Remus, he seems too sensible to be friends with the other three. I really dislike them all. Especially Sirius Black. Out of all of them, I hate him the most. Also, I swear James Potter is obsessed with poor Lily. She hates them as much as I do. I'm glad she does to be honest, I don't think I could have a best friend that actually liked the Marauders.

Anyway, I'm going now, here come Sirius and James, and I do NOT want them reading through my diary.

Yours truly,

Alia Evelyn McKinnon

Elenie smiled at her mother's diary. It was strange to read about her Mother hating her Father for so long and then they eventually fell in love, as did James and Lily. The fact that she couldn't tell Harry what she was reading really bothered her because he'd love to know more about them, but it was too risky and her Mother had forbade it. If Harry ever found out he'd be sure to hate her.

"El! What are you reading?!" Hermione walked into the Gryffindor Common Room, taking a seat beside Elenie.

"It's my Mother's old diary Hermione." Elenie smiled, waving the diary at Hermione.

"Oh wow, is it interesting?" Hermione asked, taking the diary out of Elenie's hand and examining it.

"Of course it has stuff about my parent's in." Elenie smiled before realising her mistake. She quickly shut her mouth, hoping Hermione hadn't picked up on what she'd said.

"You finally found out who your Father was?!" Hermione grinned, looking at Elenie expectantly.

"Er....yeah." Eleanie answered, trying not to advance on the matter. But as soon as Hermione began to flick through the pages, Elenie had to grab it off of her. She couldn't know.

"Elenie i'm your best friend, you can tell me anything. I'm not likely to know who he is anyway." Hermione smiled warmly.

"Oh you are." Elenie sighed, looking away.
