- Elenie -
A week had passed by since the night of the final task and Cedric Diggory's death and the school was still mourning the loss of a fellow student. Elenie couldn't help but notice how quiet Harry was and he had more or less shut himself away from the outside world. She knew that he was worried about Voldemort and the fact that he was at large yet again; he was going to come back for Harry and everyone knew it. After the graveyard last week, it was quite clear.
"Harry, Ron says you're not walking down to the train with us?" Elenie had been let into the boy's dormitory by Ron to talk some sense into Harry. Today was the day that they were leaving to go home as the school year had ended and at the moment Elenie couldn't think of anything worse than sending Harry back to the Dursley's.
"Yeah I think it's just best if I sit on my own; I won't exactly be the best company will I." He replied, not looking at her.
"Harry don't be silly, come on. We're your best friends and we're here to help you through the hard times. I'm your family and I want to help you. But we can't if you won't let us." Elenie pleaded with him.
"But I can't. Don't you see? When he comes for me-and he will, he's also going to go after everyone I care about. You, Ron, Hermione, Alia, Sirius, the Weasley's...I just can't do that too you all." Harry told her.
"But don't you see? We're you're family and we want to be with you at your side with whatever he may throw at you. None of us would have it any other way. No matter how much you try and push us away we won't give up on you Harry." Elenie told him, taking his hand.
"But I don't want anyone to get hurt or even worse, die for me Ellie." Harry explained.
"Well we're all big boys and girls and we can hold our own; but we all know that we may have to sacrifice ourselves for the greater good. It's a choice to stand with you Harry and we've all chosen to do so." Elenie explained.
"Elenie, Harry, are you up here?" Ginny Weasley's voice floated in through the doorway.
"We're in here Gin!" Elenie called, giving Harry a small smile and a squeeze of his hand.
"Hey, are you ok?" Ginny asked them both, smiling.
"Yeah, we're both fine Ginny." Elenie smiled with a small nod.
"Good, well Hermione wandered where you both were." Ginny's smile faltered a little as she looked at Harry's expression, but nevertheless she still kept up her smile.
"Tell her we'll be down in a minute Gin." Elenie replied with a smile.
"Ok, see you both later El, Harry." Ginny smiled and blushed a little as she said Harry's name.
Elenie grinned at this and rolled her eye's as Ginny left the room. She had known Ginny since she was a young girl and they had slowly become good friends over the years. One thing that Elenie knew for certain was that knew Ginny had crushed on Harry ever since she first saw him on the Platform in Harry's first year at Hogwarts.
"What did I ever do to deserve such an amazing bunch of friends?" Harry smiled, leaning forward to hug Elenie.
"I know we're amazing." Elenie grinned, hugging her god brother.
"Thank you Ellie, for your support." Harry smiled as he pulled away.
"Don't be silly it's what i'm here for! We better get down to the train before it leaves without us!" Elenie quickly stood up with Harry quickly following behind her.
"Are you all ready to go?" Harry said to Ron, Hermione, Ginny, George and Fred as he and Elenie made it down to the common room.
"Yes, let's go otherwise we're going to be late!" Hermione cried as she looked at her watch, a small smile on her face at the fact that Harry had finally spoken. Ron rolled his eye's at her and clapped Harry on the back with a smile, following Hermione out of the common room.
