- Alia -

Alia stared out of the window on to the dingy London street below. It had been two whole weeks since Sirius was killed and she had barely moved from the room all week. She couldn't bring herself to go outside because the fresh air made her feel worse and she had barely said two words to anyone for the whole two weeks.

"Mum, I brought you food, Molly says you've got to eat otherwise you're going to make yourself ill." Elenie's voice sounded from behind Alia. Alia slowly turned around and tried to smile at her daughter but it turned out as more of a grimace.

"Tell Molly thank you El." Alia told her.

"I will, what are you looking at?" Elenie asked, pointing to the box of photos which sat on the bed.

"Oh, they're your Dad's. I was just going through them." Alia told her, nibbling at the food that Molly had sent up.

"Can I have a look?" Elenie asked, taking a seat on the bed.

"Of course darling." Alia replied, gaining the energy to sit next to her.

Alia watched Elenie's face as she looked through the photos with a sad smile. She couldn't believe how well her daughter was holding up, she was being strong for everyone else that Alia reckoned the grief hadn't hit her yet. At least she had Elenie, one of the only things left in the world that made her happy.

"This is a beautiful photo Mum, is this your wedding day?" Elenie asked.

"Yes, Lily took this, after she named my humming song Alia's Lullaby." Alia thought back on that moment on her wedding day with Lily in the field behind the reception.

"That's what you used to hum to me as a little girl wasn't it?" Elenie smiled.

"Yes. I still would now if I could and at least then you'd still feel like my little girl." Alia smiled.

"I'll always be your little girl mum, even when i'm fully grown up with my own children." Elenie told her.

"I can still picture that little girl running around Uncle Remus' back garden playing Princess Castle with her doll. Those were the days I wished your father was around to see" Alia sighed "I'm so sorry Elenie, that I couldn't give you a better life than this. That your Dad wasn't around and you barely got to know him before he was taken away from us. He loved you so much Ellie, he still does and he's still looking down on you."

"Mum, don't you ever say that! None of this is your fault! I still have amazing memories with Dad and i'll hold onto them forever. Dad's looking down on you too, he always will be. He's always in here." Elenie pointed to her Mum's heart.

"I miss him so much Ellie." Alia told her, tears slipping down her face.

"So do I Mum."

- Elenie -

A few days had passed since Elenie and Alia had sat down together and looked through their photos. In those few short days a lot had happened; Harry had had to return to the Burrow, Sirius' funeral had taken place and Arthur and Molly had moved over to the Burrow so that Alia and Elenie could have their house back. However, Alia had quickly realised that the house felt too empty so Alia and Elenie had moved over to the Burrow until the children returned to Hogwarts.

"How's your Mum doing El?" Ginny asked as herself and Hermione sat in Ginny's room one night.

"She's not too bad, but she's got a hole missing where my Dad usually is in her heart and nothing will ever replace that." Elenie sighed.

"And what about you? How are you El?" Hermione asked.

"I'm okay I suppose. But George has been acting a bit strange, almost distant. I don't know what's wrong." Elenie sighed. She had been feeling like this for a few days now and still didn't know what was wrong. Elenie observed as Ginny and Hermione gave each other a nervous look. "What is it?'
