I wake up and it isn't too early...my presumption is that it is around 7 or 8 am. Maybe I should go spy on the other tributes instead of just laying around here,  fatigued. I transfer all of my goods into just 1 backpack so I am not packing lot's of backpacks around. I am not sure which direction to go, so I will just wander around until I find someone. Just to...you know...see what they are up..to. They couldn't be doing too much. The games are a lot more boring than what I though.

I wander around and I finally come across the Careers. I don't get too close, though. Instead I just watch them. I kneel down behind a bush. The take off to the river. It should be nice socializing with other tributes. I follow them a few more steps, but than stop. I don't want them to see me...but I am tempted to see what they are doing. Okay...so I follow them some more. They have Peeta with them. Hmm...that's odd. They laugh and act like they have a good time. I cut around them and sprint across the river and hide behind a rock. They spot Katniss and take off for her, yelling things such as: "She's mine!" or "I'm going to get her!" See...I was always right about them hating her, but it seems that Peeta is a traitor...unless he has something else planned.

I stop for real now and just decide to explore more of the arena, see what there is. I walk around and hear buzzing above my head. There is a Tracker Jacker nest above me. I don't dare mess with them.  I just keep walking past them, like they are no big deal. But they are, and I'm smart enough to know not to play around with Tracker Jackers. I think for a moment, this arena has to end somewhere. I kind of want to see where it ends, but it could be dangerous. Sun and clouds look pretty today. Prettier than usual.

Ding Ding Dong, Ding Ding Dong

I look above my head and see a little parachute flying over my head. For me? I think. I reach up and grab it. What could I need? I crack open the small bucket and inside it a small loaf of bread. Bread? I don't need bread. I take it out and there is a slip of paper on the bottom. I read it. It says:

I know this isn't much, but I want to thank you for everything. Dean has told me so much about you and this is the least I can do. Thank you so much, I'm rooting for you! ~Ali, D5

Even though I don't need the bread now, it could be useful in the future. I look up to the sky."Thank you." I say under my breath. Ali must of got Dean's letter. I wonder what he said in it. Ali must feel heartbroken over Dean. I guess I am too. He was a good friend. I leave out a sigh and keep walking.

As the arena starts to turn dark, I find a safe spot and lie down. I see smoke rising in the distance, but I don't bother to go near it. It's fairly close, too. It's probably the Careers anyway.

Goodnight, arena.
