There's that sound again!
Thud Thud Thud
I jumped into the elevator. Jaime jumped into it behind me, but the door shut before Robin, Starfire and Raven could get in.
"What is going on with you?" Jaime asked me.
"This sound! It just keeps repeating in my head..."
"Well, why are you hearing it and all of us aren't?"
"I don't know. Maybe animal instincts?"
The conversation was cut short when the elevator opened at the bottom of the tower. We saw a rock fly into the elevator. Jaime and I both jumped to opposite sides of the elevator as the rock came in straight through the middle. Jaime and I stared at each other.
"What the hell?!" Jaime exclaimed.
I peeked out of the elevator. The only thing there was a girl. She had blond hair, a black mask over her eyes, a dark brown and orange shirt, tight black shorts that went to her knees and black boots.
Something about her was just... Familiar...
Jaime jumped at me as she through another rock straight towards my face.
"Thanks for the save," I looked up at Jaime.
"No problem," Jaime smiled as we charged out of the elevator.
The girl pulled rocks out of the ground and slammed them at us.
"We just got the tower fixed!" I complained as I threw myself back to dodge a rock.
Okay, think big. Strong. Big nose, big nose. My ears can feel the wind going threw them. I'm tall, I see the sky. (Sounds a bit like poetry hehe)
I changed into an elephant. I charged at the girl and she sent me flying backward. She formed an array of rocks, sending them at my feet. I did my best to dodge them in my big body, until I stepped on a rock.
"Ow! There's a rock between my toes!" I turned into my regular self and pulled the rock off my foot.
I examined the girl again. Her expression, she was... She was afraid. It wasn't something that anyone could see. I knew the face.
Jaime ran into fight her... I couldn't... I couldn't fight back. I knew her from a long time ago.
Okay, tiny, little, kinda annoying. Digging, I want to hide. I want to hide.
Hungry, very hungry. A scavenger.
I turned into a mole and dug underground.
As I was digging, I could only think of one thing. Constantly. The face, it was Terra.
