The next day was interesting. I woke up around 6:00. I never wake up that early, especially for school. I decided to take my time to get dressed. I wanted to look nice for Alec and Josh. Today was the day I was going to tell Alec that I didn't love him anymore. I was so nervous. When I was getting ready, I smelt bacon cooking downstairs.
"That's weird!" I said. I walked down the stairs after I was rest for school and found Josh's back towards me and he was cooking breakfast.
"Hey, that smells good!" I said. It kind of startled him.
"Thanks, I only cook for the best!" He says back that made me blush a little.
He sat a plate in front of me with bacon, eggs, sausage, and a glass of orange juice. It looked so good. I started to eat and I was almost don't before Josh even sat down!
"I'm guessing it was good?" He asks.
"Oh yeah it was good!" I say before stuffing my mouth with a piece of bacon.
"So you ready for school?" He asks.
"Um, yeah I guess so." I say.
"Why do you guess so?" He says looking at me with eyes of concern.
"Well, I'm thinking of telling Alec I don't love him anymore." I say while looking back down at my empty plate before picking it up and putting it in the dish washer.
"You know Shelby, you don't have to tell him right away. I can wait." He says smiling a little.
I say back down and thought for a second before I replied "well I don't want to lead his emotions on. I would feel terrible!"
"Oh that's true. So you ready to go?" He asks putting his plate also in the dish washer.
"Yeah, just let me grab my bookbag." I say going up the stairs.
"Okay, I'll be in the car." He says.
"Alright, be right there!"

"Hey Shelby!" Alec says as he walks up beside me and Josh.
"Hey" I say quietly.
"Hey to you too!" Josh says looking a little mad.
"Oh I'm sorry Josh, hey!" Alec says.
We walk into first period science and sit in our usual seats. Before Alec can sit down, I say "Hey Alec, can I talk to you at lunch?"
"Yeah sure, I'll meet you at Josh and your tree." He says before sitting down at his seat in the back.

I grab my lunch and sit down at our tree and wait for either Josh or Alec to walk up. Alec is the first one to walk up. Good, I didn't want to talk to Alec with Josh sitting right next to me. It doesn't matter anyway, Josh was there when I told Alec and he was there when I said I didn't love him anymore.
"Hey Alec!" I say scooting over so he can sit next to me.
"Hey Shelby!" He says sitting next to me.
"So what was it you wanted to tell me?" He asks.
"Well I was going to say that I don't really love you anymore. I mean I still do but not as much. Your the only guy that I have ever liked or loved, but ever since I told you I loved you and you said it back, I've had more feelings for someone else. I realized that they are getting stronger as the day goes on. I think I actually love him than I ever loved you. I know this is a big thing but if we could still be friends, that would be great. I mean I know our parents are best friends but..." I didn't finish cause I realized I was rambling.
"Well Shelby..." He starts off
