I've never been happier that it's a Monday - I can upload once a day without feeling guilty. This is a more character based chapter (and it's more or less a summary of Mel's home life), but next chapter is more story based, so I hope that gives you something to look forward to. Also, we're halfway through the story!

Bobby: Taylor's been a lot more confident since he became friends with you. It's been about two weeks and he's actually having full length conversations.

Mel: Befriending you and Angie has made a lot of difference as well, though! I doubt he'd be so confident without the knowledge that you guys want to be friends with him too.

Bobby: You do most of the work though. It's pretty amazing watching him change over the days. Do you remember how he asked Angie that question? It's the first time!

Mel: I know, I felt like a proud parent! :) But even if you go on and on about how much I've influenced him, it's not like you've not done the same thing.

Bobby: What do you mean?

Mel: You've noticed, right? Since you and Angie met, her behaviour has gotten loads better! She hasn't got into a fight since that one against Sam T and she's actually doing homework.

Bobby: Huh. Now that you mention it, you're right. She still gives teachers attitude, though.

Mel: Knowing Angie, that habit will be a little harder to break.

Bobby: She's changed me a lot too, actually, now I think about it. I actually stick up for myself now.

Mel: Actually, that's true. You've gradually gotten better at defending yourself since Angel befriended you. It's like you two are having a personality swap!

Bobby: Yeah, but I doubt it'll go further. It's not like I'm gonna become the Bad Boy to her Good Girl or whatever.

Mel: Wow, Bobby. Besides, I think Angel would die before she let that happen :p. I gotta go, see you tomorrow at my place!

I finish rereading the conversation just as Lilia pulled up in front of Mel's house. Her driving was actually bearable today, although it may have been because Mel only lives a few minutes away by car. Jake gave her my address and she picked me up before driving Angel and me to Mel's house.

My parents and Alexander are out again, and Mel once again decided to seize the opportunity to us all together, but with two changes - Taylor is now with us, and we're meeting at her house.

Angel and I climb out of the car as Lilia speaks. "I'll be here in an hour to take you both to your houses. Have fun!" Sometimes, Lilia is like a non-aggressive soccer mum. Do they exist? Probably not. Nevertheless, I'm grateful to her. God knows what Jake would have done if she wasn't there.

"Thanks, Lia!" Angel says and I nod, smiling. As Lilia's car backs out of the driveway Angel murmurs something so only I can hear. "She's like a non-aggressive soccer mum."

I snicker into my hand at the coincidence. "I was literally just thinking the same thing. How old is she, twenty?"

"Yep. She could technically have a kid at this point, but she isn't really one for the whole child making process." Angel says casually, before turning around. "C'mon, Mel's waiting."

I nod and follow Angel up to the front door. She knocks a few times, and were waiting for a few seconds before a girl who definitely isn't Mel opens the door.

She's far too young to be Mel's mother; an older sister, maybe? She has Mel's striking blue eyes and her hair is also blonde, although hers is more of a platinum colour and more wavy than Mel's outright curls. She looks around Lilia's age, maybe a bit older. I have no idea who she is, but Angel's eyes widen and she gasps.
