Ruby X Sapphire

The Start

Ruby was hanging around his old baseball field when a girl named Lapis was throwing a softball around and hit Ruby. "Oww!" Ruby yelped in pain. "Oh, gee I'm sorry," Lapis apologized. "It's okay," Ruby said, "hey, you've got a pretty good arm there." Lapis smiled at the compliment, "Thanks! And you can sure take a hit."

Ruby smiled as Lapis sat down in the grassy field. Ruby took out her glove and sat in Lapis' lap. (A/N lol Lap and Lapis in the same sent.) Lapis put her hand in Ruby's glove. "Man! My hand is much bigger that yours. I can't believe it," Lapis exclaimed. "Ya, most Rubies have small hands," Ruby replied, "well I gotta go. See ya later Lapis." They waved bye and Ruby went off to the night club.

As night fell, Sapphire decided to go to the night club and sing. But little did she know, her friends, Jasper, Pearl and Peridot were following her. "Where is she going?" Peridot asked. "Hmmmm, looks like she heading in that night club over there," Pearl said, pointing to the club.

"Why would she go there?" Pearl wondered aloud. "To have fun singing duh," Jasper said. "Hey Sapphire! Over here," Peridot yelled. 'What are they singing here?!' Sapphire thought. "Hey are you gonna sing here?" Jasper asked. Sapphire shyly nodded. "Great! Can't wait to hear it!" Pearl said as the three walked in.

Sapphire was about to walk in when she saw the black and square haired, red skinned boy. He walked in and everyone stared at him. Sapphire was interested and followed him.

The boy walked over to a table with drinks and got fruit punch and went to the corner he would always stand in. Sapphire went up to the DJ man and asked to sing a song.

She had chosen The Night Begins to Shine. (A/N play the song up top and just pretend a girl is singing it.)

Jasper, Pearl and Peridot stood, mouths wide open and clapped like crazy and cheered. Ruby, in the corner, was also clapping, not knowing the song was for him. "Alright! Now give it up for Ruby," the DJ called. "Huh?" Ruby asked, turning his head over to the front. Amethyst popped out of the crowd and Ruby realized she had told the DJ he would sing. Ruby groaned and got on stage.

People, to Ruby's surprise, cheered for him and clapped, especially Sapphire. Ruby got off stage and Sapphire blushed as Ruby walked past her. Sapphire's friends noticed and told her to talk to him. She replied, "I'll do it another time. I'm nervous and it's getting kinda late." Her friends looked upset but understood.

Pearl, Jasper and Peridot devised a plan to get them together, but needed more help. So they asked Ruby's only friends, Amethyst and Lapis to help out. They both agreed after they had finally found Lapis. The next night, their plan would take action.
