+Harry's POV+
Before Melanie could reach the kitchen, I grabbed her by her waist and picked her up, tickling her in the process.
"Put. Me. Down." She giggled between breaths and sequels.
I laughed and carried her into the kitchen dropping her on one of the bar stools. "You're going to somehow find a way to burn yourself, so I'll take it out of the oven."
"Oh, c'mon, I bake all the time." She said standing up from the chair.
"Well, my house, my rules." I said smirking at her as she sat down on the stool again, frowning.
I opened the oven up and got a rag to pick it up with. I put the pan on the counter and immediately dropped my arm to my side in pain.
+Melanie's POV+
Harry let out a grunt and started shaking his arm.
"Harry, are you ok? Did you burn yourself? Let's run it under water." I quickly turned the faucet on and brought his arm under it to cool it down. "Do you have any Aloe lotion? It should help with the burning." I started walking back to Harry's room when he interrupted me.
"Mel, Mel. I'm ok, my arm is fine. I was just joking, I didn't burn it." He said smiling at me and he started laughing.
"Ugh, I can't believe you." I said hitting his 'burned' arm.
Harry kept laughing, "I love to see that you care about me."
"Well, I wasn't going to just let your arm hurt. Doesn't mean I care about you." I mumbled and walked towards the cake to cut it. "We need to wait a little till we but the icing on," I said looking at the small rectangular cake.
"This isn't a really nice cake." Harry stated crossing his arms as he looked over my shoulder.
"Yeah, well if you would've actually gotten ingredients we could've made it bigger."
"Ok then, next time we'll make a better cake and you get the ingredients."
"Fine." I said turning to the bag of icing.
"Fine."
"Good."
"Good."
"Stop that." I said taking the chocolate icing out.
"Stop what?" Harry asked childishly as he jumped up on the counter next to me.
"Stop copying me." I said turning to him.
"I wasn't copying you." Harry said smiling.
"Yes you were, now help me open this, I can't get the wrapper off." I said handing him the icing container.
"Aw, Melanie's too weak to open and icing container, aw." Harry said mocking a baby voice.
"Haha, you get to work out whenever you want, me on the other hand, I just sit in a chair and talk all day." I said as he handed me the opened icing container.
"You should come work out with me, the gym I go to is right around the corner from the studio."
"Oh, thanks, that's helpful, because I totally know where your studio is." I said rolling my eyes as I looked through drawers to find a knife.
"Well I'd take you obviously. And fourth drawer from the fridge."
"Thanks, and ok, sounds fun. When are we going?" I asked returning back to Harry.
Going to the gym with Harry would be fun. But I feel like I wouldn't get to actually work out because Harry would be making jokes the whole time and pissing me off.
"We can go next week sometime?"
"Ok, text me a date and we'll go." I said smiling at him.
"Sounds like a plan." He said smiling back.
I put the knife in the icing and started spreading it around the cake.
"Do you want to help icing or are you just gonna sit there and stare at me." I said looking up from the cake to see Harry moving his head to the side and blush.
"Erm, yeah I'll help." He said jumping down and getting a knife.
Finally after many icing fights we finally managed to put some icing on the cake. I took a straw and dipped it into the vanilla icing and wrote, 'MERRY CHRISTMAS.' And in the right corner I put, 'H.S.M.W.'
"Ta daaaa!" I said waving my hands around it.
Harry laughed and took a photo of the cake. "Lift it up and stand next to it."
I smiled and lifted the cake up near my face and smiled.
