+Harry's POV+

I know not going to see Melanie the past three weeks is probably not the best boyfriend material, but I haven't even left the house. I was too nervous to go out in the public because I know that I would get eaten alive. I listen to Melanie on the radio everyday, and we do text, and one time I called her. I think she's doing fine with everything, she seems to be stronger than I am. She says that she's not really getting a lot on the street, and she hasn't checked twitter. I'm proud of her for that. Me being the idiot, I check almost everyday, and it gets worse. It's not like I've even gone public with her yet. It was just the kiss on New Years Eve, and yeah we did kiss a lot that night, but still. E! News tweeted that they were doing a special on me today, and I'm tempted to watch it. I know it's the stupidest idea in the world, but I just need to know what people on the outside are doing.

Groaning, I finally got out of bed today. I paced around my room with my phone held to my ear, and when the ringing stopped I smiled.

"Hey Mel," I said almost breathlessly.

"Harry, hi."

"Is this a bad time? I can call back later."

"No, I just got home, I had a busy day."

"I know, I listened to you today." I said smiling.

"Well, that doesn't sound creepy." She said laughing.

I sat down on my bed, "do you want to get dinner tonight? Like a really fancy dinner."

There was a pause, "wait, like get, as an go out together, in the public?"

"Yeah, I'm finally ready, I don't care about my career right now, I care about you and that I haven't seen you in forever."

"That would be amazing." She said and I could tell she was smiling. "Should I meet you there or-"

"I'll pick you up at 7, wear something nice." I said and hung up.

+ Melanie's POV +

I can't help but think that Harry isn't ready to go public yet. Yeah he's probably stronger than I am, but I am defiantly used to the limelight of being public with someone. Harry has a big heart and I know he wants everyone to be happy for him, but that doesn't always happen. Fans don't know how much celebrities go through to make them happy, and they go crazy. Even though they think they're doing the right thing, fans end up hurting celebrities.

Finally it was 7, and I sat in the front of my house waiting for Harry. He had texted me a few minutes saying he just left and he'd be there in a few.

I nervously tapped my heels of my high hells on the wooden floors. They made a clicking noise when it came in contact with the old wood. Millions of thoughts swirled my brain as I patiently sat. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at my door. Swiftly, I stood up and took little strides to get to the old door. Patting down my hair I opened the door and smiled to see the brown curls in front of me.

"Hi," Harry said breathlessly.

"Hi," I replied the same way. Even though it's been three weeks, I feel like I haven't seen him in forever. He seems almost older, more mature, he doesn't look stressed out.

"I missed you," He said wrapping an arm around my waist, kissing me gently on the lips.

Kissing him back, I smiled. "Maybe we should leave before there's tons of pictures of us taken."

Harry chuckled and shook out his hair before replacing it to the way it was before. "Good idea. Shall we?" He said extending his elbow out for me.

I linked my arm in his laughing lightly, "we shall."
