Chapter 3: That Unbearable Scent

My vison felt blurry and foggy as I turned my head trying to shake it out my head swirled with images of me holding the bloodthirsty vampire by it's neck.

Oh yeah....I nearly killed a vampire with my bare hands.Than....? Nick he must have caught me when I fainted.

My thoughts were so slow and reserved,."Your awake," I heard a deep, rough voice say to my right.I blinked several times trying to get , my head straight

"W-what happened, " I said my voice barely a whisper I saw the bright natural blonde hair and immediately I knew it.Nick."You fainted,"he said roughly.

Duh! I must have fainted to be in a bed like this.

"You nearly hit the ground hard before I caught you" my vison got clearer making it easier for me to see I sat up.My legs tangled in sheets, a pale white

  "What are you going to do to him?" I asked my voice laced with curiosity. First there was a vampire on there territory then he said something about telling "Master" definitely, not good

   "We have him locked up in a cell, guarded by my best pack warriors" I nodded running a hand through my long red hair.I heard a sigh I looked to see Nick leaning back into his chair

    For once he seemed calm, peaceful, happy.An emotion he would never show

    "You need to interrogate him," I said I got up on my feet stretching once satisfied I pulled the rubber band from my wrist tying my red hair into a ponytail that just happen to end near my butt

    "Well, I have my beta doing that" he noddee rubbing his fingers together "Well, why aren't you down there this is your pack you gotta take care of It don't you"

    "I can't just leave you here." I shaked my head pulling my shirt down that happened to rise.

    "Doesn't matter I'm an Alpha of another pack I can take care of myself" I crossed my arms over my chest giving him an challenging look my lips pressed tightly together.

    "I-I know.....never mind" he stuttered. Wow, he stuttered that certainly is a first

    I started to walk to the door opening it as I was about to step he started to talk again "Thanks, for saving me back there" I grinned.Maybe this is to good to be true but I certainly shall take advantage

   "Your welcome" I closed the door behind me, I reached outside the wind blowing hard against my skin.Then it hit me like a ton of bricks

    The smell I smelt inside Nick's office but this time it smelt like pine a strong scent unbearable scent making me weak to my knees.I know this scent had to mean one thing and only one thing Mate

   Clarity was howling loudly inside me my heart was loud it could be heard throughout my ears.My mate, my gently sweet mate

   Unconsciously I started to walk to the unbearable scent as the scent got stronger and more powerful I could feel my legs sprinting to my mate.

   I approached an large opening there stood an barn covered with hay and dirt the smell was at it strongest point the pine erupting wildly inside the barn.

   I grinned walking into it hay spread throughout the place then cloth like items scattered across the ground little splashs of blood made a trail.

   This can't be might my mate , right? I could feel my blood boil thinking someone would hurt him.I would kill them with my bare hands thinking they'll touch what is mine
