Romeo.

That's all I could think about when I saw Kaylee.

All of the heartbreak and misery came flooding back.

I think she felt it too.

We both break out crying and hug each other.

I completely forget that Lake and Alia and both there, but I don't care.

We keep whispering sorry to each other.

We break apart and start laughing.

"Well, I'll leave you two. I'm gonna go find Athena and Elliot." Lake says walking away.

"Damn girl. He's cute." Kaylee says when he's gone.

I just laugh.

"Come with me," Kaylee says and I follow her outside.

We sit down on the grass behind the school.

"I'm sorry I've been such a bitch to you, Lyric. I never meant to hurt you." Kaylee says.

"It's okay. It just hurt that when I needed you the most, you left me. I told you what I could do, and you ran away." I start crying again.

"I just didn't know how to handle it. I was learning how to control both lightning and thunder, I couldn't have helped you."

"I didn't need you help. I just needed my best friend." I sob.

"After what happened with Romeo, I felt like I couldn't breathe. He destroyed us."

"We let him."

"Now I've found another guy. And he's really sweet to me, Lyric. But he doesn't know what I can do. No one does except for you and Lake" Kaylee says. "But what can Lake do?"

"He controls thunder now. He touched my hand and I nearly killed him but he just gained powers." I say.

"Wow, you and him are like me but I control both. Don't worry, there is a ton of other people at this school who are like you and me."

"Have the Seefers been anywhere near here yet?" I ask.

"Yeah, near our school actually. But they left in 10 minutes when Tide shooed them off."

"Wait, what can Tide do?" I ask.

"He controls water and compels people to do whatever he wants. But it doesn't work on Sayers." She replies.

"Lyric!" I hear Lake shout.

I look to my right and see Lake moving his arms up and down.

Is he...

"Wow, your boyfriend is creating thunder in his own hands!" Kaylee says amazed.

"Yeah. Wait, he's not my boyfriend." I say looking away from Lake.

"Oh, come on. I see the way he looks at you and the way you look at him. I saw it at school." She says.

I look back at Lake and he accidentally flew away to the forest.

Too much power.

I see him jump out of a tree.

He looks dizzy.

I see Elliot run and help him walk.

This is the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Lake puts his hands up and shouts,"DID EVERYONE JUST SEE THAT?! I JUST FLEW!"

"He's such a dork," I say shaking my head and smile.

"But he's your dork," Kaylee says.

"Whatever."

He is my dork.
