Him:

She's so beautiful.

Everything about her is just so beautiful.

The way the wind blows through her hair when she opens the window.

Even when she eats a burger, she is still beautiful.

She catches me staring a lot.

But I think she's used to it now.

We just arrived in Jamesburg and it's a cool looking little place.

There isn't much to do here but there is a park just down the street so Lyric and I will probably go there tomorrow.

Right now we are both in our hotel room responding to everyone's messages.

We've told them that everything is fine and we are safe.

"Elliot is going to kill me," Lyric mumbles to herself.

"I won't let him," I say to her.

She's about to say something else but a knock at the door interrupts her.

I get off the bed and open it.

"Hello! I'm Kate. Would you like to buy some dinner for only $10.99?" A young girl, maybe in her late 20s, says.

I look at Lyric and she nods.

"Sure," I say giving her the money.

She hands me a bag and leaves.

I shut the door and open it.

It has two cans of vegetable soup with two bowls and two spoons.

Lyric gets off the bed and takes the cans.

She opens both of them and pours them into the bowls and then places them in the microwave to heat up.

I turn on the TV and the news comes on.

"A terrible storm has just formed in Brooklyn, New York. They say it only supposed to last 5 hours but it may be longer. Please stay indoors if you are in Brooklyn or near it." A reporter says.

"Thank God we made a stop," Lyric says giving me the bowl of soup.

She warms hers up and then comes and lays next to me on the couch.

For the rest of the night, we watch some Harry Potter movies that were on.

"Your driving," Lyric says throwing the keys to me.

"No. I drove on the way here. You can drive to Brooklyn." I say throwing the keys back to her.

"Be a gentleman, Lake." She says throwing back the keys to me.

I roll my eyes and get in the car.

For the rest of the car ride, Lyric reads a book and I focus on driving.

When we arrive in Brooklyn, Lyric is just amazed by how beautiful it is.

The storm has passed now but right now we're stuck in traffic.

"It's just so...." Lyric says trying to find the right word.

"Beautiful," I say.

She nods her head.

We finally get out of the traffic and make our way to our apartment building.

When we arrive I park the car and Lyric and I both get our suitcases.

Lyric needs to pee so she goes to a cafe that's just down the street.

I walk into the building and ask the person behind the front desk that a girl named Lucy and I will be moving in today.

"Lucy Taylor?" She asks.

"Yes."

"And you must be Mike Yeya."

"Yes."

"The furniture is already in there like you've requested and all power and plumbing are working. Here are your keys and if there are any problems please contact us." She says giving be the keys and a smile.

"Thank you," I say taking them.

Lyric walks into the building and she takes some suitcases and we make our way up to the apartment.

We open the door to our apartment and put the suitcases on the floor.

The view is really nice considering it's such a small place.

The apartment is simple. One bathroom, one bedroom, an open kitchen, laundry room, and an open lounge.

The colours of everything is just white and grey. Very modern.

"Well, let's get unpacking," Lyric says clapping her hands.

She looks so happy.
