Jacks pov
"Elsa," I whisper. She looks up at me, startled and shivering.
"Jack!" She whispers back, surprised.
"And me! Hehe, don't forget about me," Rapunzel says warmly, smiling.
I glare at her.
"What?" She asks, obviously irritated.
I turn back to Elsa.
"We're going to get you out of here," I say.
She slits her eyes at me and looks away.
"I have already tried. It's not going to work," She said bitterly.
But Elsa was weak, I thought to myself. She wasn't at her best strength. There was no way she could escape at this state. Maybe, just maybe, the 3 of us could combine our strength and rescue her..
"Elsa, just let us try-"
Elsa cuts me off.
"No!" She yells. What? Elsa looked miserable, traumatized, and like she had really, really given up.
"Elsa-"
She turns sharply towards me.
"I guess you can't hear, Jack. Let me die here... It's better than facing the world and trying to convince them I'm not a monster. That we're not monsters," Elsa says. "Why do you think I'm here? If my own family has given up on me and thinks of me as one, I may as well be one," she says, looking down at her frozen hands and cuffs.
My heart feels as if it's breaking and shattering into bits.
"Elsa, please," I beg. "It's worth it, I promise..."
She huffs. What has gotten into her?
"Elsa come on... Before the guards come back," Rapunzel begs, grasping onto the bars.
"Fine!" She yells weakly.
Hmm....how am I gonna...Aha! Got it!
I take the end of my staff and freeze the bars that are holding Elsa. Elsa rolls her eyes and whispers under her breath, "Been there, done that," but I keep reminding myself she doesn't have the strength or correct state, and we can do this. We can really rescue her.
"Hey Rapunzel, wrap your hair around the bars and pull" I instructed.
She strained and I could see the pain in her eyes as she pulled, but they quickly broke off.
"Yay!" She cries, obviously happy her pain went towards something and Elsa was free.
"Shhhh!" Elsa and I whisper at her, reminding her we had to be sneaky.
"Sorry," She says.
I break the handcuffs off of Elsa with my powers and grasp her hand.
"Come on," I say, trying to reassure her with the charmiest smile I can conjure.
She hesitates but gets up. I take her hand and start walking. I use my staff as a light to guide me out of the dungeon.
"Yeah, but it's not fair, why would they lock Elsa up just to stop her from being queen? I mean the kingdom is hers and they're not going to let Princess Anna become queen, right?" One of the guards were talking to a maid.
I grab Rupunzel and tell her to shush. I have been working on possessing a new power that allows me to blend into things, even when I'm touching another person. It took me years from some tutorial in a book way back at the island, and it was very difficult, almost impossible to master, but I had mastered it, and it came in handy now.
The guards pass us and I wait until they're down the stairwell then I dash.
"Hurry!" I yell. Elsa stumbles behind me in her efforts to keep up with me and Rapunzel. We were almost there.
"Hult!" Someone yelled after us. We continue running until we face the worst problem and nightmare ever; Guards surround us.
Uh-oh.
