Chapter 4

We haled another taxi. I told the driver the diners address. Dani put her head on my shoulder for the third time in one day. I guess it's a thing she likes to do. It's really cute. We reached the diner. I paid the man and we ran inside.

"LOPEZ, DANI, WHERE WERE YOU?"

Grunted Walter. "Suck it walter, we're going back to work now!" He rolled his eyes.

"Are you gonna be ok, dani?"

"Yeah. I'll be fine." She smiles. I grab my note pad from my pocket.

It was the end of our shift. I was so tired. I could pass out in front of everybody. I see dani picking up her guitar from the stage and puts it over her neck and shoulder. I walk over to her.

"You walking home?"

"Yeah. It's only a 15 minute walk."

"Do you mind if I joined you?" We both grinned. I put my hands behind my back.

"Not at all!" She said it so cutely. Is that weird? Her curves are just so sexy. I'm obsessed. We both walk out of the diner. Dani looks up at me.

"Thank you for protecting me from that guy. I've been dying all afternoon to tell you that."

"No problem. Anything to protect one of my closest friends." Dani smiles.

"That was one scary moment. When he threw that coke at me, I just...froze. You know what I mean?"

"Girl I totally know." We both giggle.

DANI

We continue walking to my apartment.

"Santana, I've been wanting to ask you this. But I was too nervous. I know this may be a stupid question but, are you a lesbian?"

"Um-"

"You don't have to tell me. I understand."

"No no. I'll tell you. I trust you." I smiled.

"I was in high school. I've been hiding it from everyone. Until someone named Finn Hudson told me to come out of the closet. I was a total bitch to everybody. He knew I was in love with my best friend Brittany. Then, I was screwed. This man running for something I wouldn't know made a campaign commercial saying "sue Sylvester has a lesbian on her cheer team who is team captain." I was with Kurt's dad, my glee teacher, sue and my principal. I was so embarrassed. I didn't even tell my parents. I cried so so hard. Everyone knew. They gave me a weird look at me everyday. Later that night, I went to someone's house that use to mean so much to me, didn't accept the fact that I like girls. So she banned me from never ever seeing her again. I haven't seen her since that day." I rubbed her back. I could tell she was trying not to cry.

"It's ok Santana... She just wasn't the right person to be around."

"Yeah." She half smiled.

"Did your parents approve?"

"Yes. They were ok about it."

"That's good."

"I was such a nervous wreck when I told them. Wait, are you? A lesbian?"

"Maybe..." I started to blush real badly.

"Sorry... I'm blushing really badly right now."

"That's ok!" I giggled a bit.

We ended up back at my apartment.

"This is where I get off." I said while slowly stopped walking and looking back at Santana.
