I looked out on the lake as the sun shined over it. Al was hold my hand. This was truely a good moment. I looked at Al. He was smiling as he was looking at the lake. The place he had taken me to was a quiet little area where no one had be. I knew that was true because there were no tire tracks, no footprints, and it was about a 20 minutes walk past the battle practice grounds.
"How did you know this was here?" I asked him.
"I was walking around the first day and got lost. That's when I found this place. It's not the prettiest lake, but its nice and quiet here." he said. I smiled at him.
"Look, I'm sorry about not telling you about my feelings for Scott. I should have told you when I confronted you about your feelings for me." I said.
"I understand Izzy. I mean, you can't choose who you have feelings for." Al said. He began to lean in.
"Isabelle." I heard Scott's voice say. I turn around to see Scott standing there.
"Scott, what are you doing here?" I asked.
"I needed to talk to you. I'm leaving today and I just needed to talk to you." he said.
"Of course. Al, can you give us a minute?" I ask. He nodded and then got up, walked past Scott, and then disappeared into the forest. We were silent for a couple of minutes.
"I justed wanted to say that I'm sorry if I upset you in anyway." I told him.
"I could never be mad at you Izzy. My feelings are too strong for you to ever be mad at you. I understand, you are going through alot. You have feelings for both Al and I. But I just have to know........do I have a chance against Al?" he asked. I walked towards him.
"Of course you do Scott." I said. Then he kissed me. When he pulled away he looked down at his watch.
"I have to go. I'll see you when we get back from the holidays." he said. I nodded, gave him a hug, and then he left. About five minutes later, Al appeared.
"Everything okay?" he asked.
"Yeah everything is fine. It's getting pretty late and I think I'm leaving tomorrow for Jendle. I should probably get back to my room." I said. And with that Al took me back to my room.
***********two days later******************
So it turns out the flight from Miami to Jendle was 10 hours. And because of the time me and my roomates left at, we had to fly to Jendle over night. When I woke up the next morning, we were about an hour away from Jendle. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about going to Jendle for the first time. I mean, it would be the first time I would be in the land where my father grew up in, and rules over. I don't know what I should be expecting, but I'm glad I have my friends with me.
"Hey Izzy, look out the window! Jendle is beautiful!" Hanna tells me. I did as she told me and was shocked with what I saw. It was the most beautiful place I've ever seen. Almost every inch of Jendle was covered in trees or flowers or grass. It was amazing. Jendle was truely a place to connect with nature. No wonder Mom fell in love with Jendle, its a beautiful place.
Once we land and I turn my phone off of airplane mode and immedatley get a text from my mom.
Sorry for not telling you that Jendle was a small island found in the Pacific Ocean about 30 miles away from Hawaii, it just never came up. Anyway, I hope your flight was good. But I have some news. Turns out the boys will be here tonight. Whoops. So once you get to the palace, you will only have an hour to get settled in and get ready. Then the boys will arrive with their parents and you will be showing them to their rooms. So you will have to learn the palace in an hour as well. Sorry for such the short notice. See you soon sweetie!!!
