Another Chance.
We were sat in the dark,
that very same night,
and we had that same spark,
in a city of light.
We’re sat together,
but our hearts apart,
it’s hard to believe we once said forever,
but at the time we agreed the break was smart.
I whisper your name,
Over and Over,
Now that you’re here I know we weren’t blame,
It was the just the opposite effect of a four leaf clover.
You place your arm,
gently on my shoulder,
and remind me that when I’m with you I’ll come to no harm,
But all I remember is your natural charm.
Quickly but slow,
Both at the same time,
Letting an excited feeling grow
You place your lips on mine.
In an ocean of love,
I’d forgotten the rush
After giving the negatives a shove,
We both wanted this, its time to hush.
