So Thursday I went to see Batman vs Superman and once again Marvel just did better. The movie wasn't bad i actually really liked it but they could have done a lot better. Lets start with the story itself. It was basically two friends arguing but with a lot of fighting. Batman didn't like Superman cuz he was dangerous ans poised a threat to the human race. Superman didn't like Batman because he was reckless and didn't care about the law. This actually framed a nice story. Lex Luthor though..... They should have just made him the Joker or have a different villain with a different actor or even just got a different actor. I honestly loved the actor and the character I think if i wad a villain I would be like him. But he never had any real reason to deatroy the city other then just to do it (that i know of). His quirkiness was so Joker like that I for have the movie I was thinking he was gonna be the Joker instead of Lex Luthor cuz he just wasnt Lex Luthor. Wonder Woman I think they got spot on. She kept her identity a secret, she workes in Washington DC, she loved fighting Doomsday cuz we all know Wonder Woman loves to fight. I think they portrayed her well. I liked that fact that she (the actor) wasn't American either. She is actually Israeli which caught me by surprise. Louis Lane need to sit down somewhere. She was the definition of damsel in distress. If she hadn't thrown the septure in the water Superman wouldn't have "died" (we all know he's alive. It was basically a puncture wound. Plus they still got Justice League to make and if they don't have Superman in it then they basically don't have a movie).
Now the actors. I went into that movie theater all team Batman. If Ben Affleck keeps playing Batman then imma be team Superman. He just took Batman and then put him on steroids. Yeah Batman is supposed to be dark and gruesome and all that fun stuff but come on. I'm pretty sure he killed 10+ ppl in less then an hour. Maybe it was just a character thing but really Ben. Batman is sarcastic and smooth. You were stone cold.
Henry Cavill I actually think did a really good job portraying Superman. He was one of my favorite characters and I really think that he got the feel of it.
Jesse Eisenburg I personally thought just got the wrong role for this movie. I thought he was great. He was my favorite character in the movie. I just think that he character either didn't fit him or he just needed to play it didn't or something."What I wanted to do with the character is kind of what I want to do in this play, which is I want to humanise these people that you have seen ... dehumanized. I wanted to make these people real and relatable and interesting and engaging, not just, you know, a surface bad person. To me, the most interesting acting is when actors can bring you into that other side of the person. When you feel like you are not just seeing the kind of purpose of them for plot. That they are not just delivering a message. They're actually showing you humanity. And that's what I tried to do with that character. Whether or not I succeeded or failed depends on your subjective opinion on what you think of people like that. That's my goal as an actor." --Jesse Eisenburg
In the end I would recommend this movie to someone but its not on the top of my list. It had some good moments it had some bad moments. I think its one of DC's best movies.
