Hey this chapter is skipping to the start of their sophomore year. I can't write every detail of the summer but this chapter pretty much fills you in on what happened.

The summer is going to be over tomorrow and it has probably been the best summer in the history of summers. I had so much fun hanging out with Violet, Izzy, Bianca, Diana, and Sarah. Toby, Hayden, Sarah, and I also hung out a bit but I don't think he likes me the way I like him. I have kinda given up all hopes of him liking me. Sarah and Hayden though, they seem to be hitting it off. I can tell they like each other and I'm happy for her. We start our sophomore year at Goode High tomorrow and I cannot stop watching netflix. Just as I pause my show, my mom walks into my room. "First day of school tomorrow and you're still up?! You should go to sleep." I groan and shut my laptop. "Ugh fine. Goodnight." She turns just as she is about to walk out of my room and says,"Goodnight."
Beep. Beep. Beep. I grab my phone and turn off my alarm. Great, school starts today. I drag myself out of bed and go to my bathroom to brush my teeth. I look at the time and see that the clock says 6:30. Crap! I'm late! My alarm was supposed to go off at 5! I run to my closet and grab my denim shorts with pompom fabric at the bottom and a 'I hate mondays T-Shirt and throw them on, barely having time to brush my hair or put on makeup. I somehow managed to put my hair in a high ponytail leaving my side bangs hanging over my face and put on eyeliner and mascara before running downstairs. I get to the kitchen almost running into my dad and grab a toast. I run out of the door to wait for Sarah, Toby, and Hayden when I remember I don't have any shoes on. I quickly race back inside, grab some black converse, put them on, and run outside just in time to see Toby pull up in front of my house with Sarah and Hayden. He got his license last month so now he gets the great pleasure of driving me to school. I get into the car and we start driving to school. "So do you think we will have any classes together this year," Sarah asked me. "Of course. We always have at least one class together." Once we get to school we go to the gym where we are meeting everyone else and getting our schedules. We get our schedules and go sit on the bleachers to wait for everyone else.
1st period- English 2, Mrs. Fitz
2nd period- World History, Mr. Salvatore
3rd period- Art, Ms. Dare
4th period- Chemistry, Ms. Simmons
5th period- Geometry, Mr. Fryer
6th period- Orchestra, Mrs. Matthews
7th period- Spanish 2, Mrs. Fields
"Hey we have first, third, and fifth together," Toby said. "That's great," I said. I turned to Sarah and said," What about you. Do we have anything together?" We looked down at both of our schedules. "Yeah! Second, fourth, and seventh." Just then Izzy, Diana, Violet, and Bianca came running up to us. We all had enough time to compare our schedules before the bell rang dismissing us to go to first period. I said bye to everyone and then Toby and I started walking to first period. We were some of the first people to get to the class. We walked in and Mrs. Fitz said,"Hi. Go ahead and sit wherever you like." The desks were arranged in pairs so Toby and I sat in the back of the room. After about two minutes the class was filled and the bell rang. Mrs. Fitz walked to the front of the room and started talking. "Hello everyone. Welcome to your first day of your sophomore year. Before I start going over the syllabus and everything I want you guys to know that I would like you to call me Aria and not Mrs. Fitz." The entire time she was talking I was drawing in my notebook while Toby was messing with my hair. God I have the weirdest friends.
The rest of the day went by pretty quickly. I went outside with Sarah and Hayden after seventh to wait for Toby. I was talking to them both when Zach Benton came up behind me, putting his hands on my waist said,"Wow is it possible that you got hotter during the summer?" Zach is this popular guy on the football team. He is a total player and has been hitting on me and Sarah since last year. He was kind of cute and I may have had a crush on him last year but he is a total player and I wouldn't take my chances with that. "Go away Zach," I said as I pushed his hands off of my waist. "Oh come on, Beautiful," he whispered seductively in my ear. I pushed him away and said,"Fuck off!" He put his hands on my shoulders and said,"Why don't you come with me." Just as I was about to push him away, Toby walked in front of me and said,"She said to go away." I rolled my eyes. "I said to fuck off but go away is fine too." Zach started walking away with his friends and turned back to say,"I WILL HAVE YOU SOONER OR LATER MELODY!" I turned back to Hayden and Sarah. I turned back to Toby. He grabbed my arm and said,"Come on guys. Let's go."
