Don't you just love walking on street at night? Passing creepy allyways and trying to avoid scary unlit places? Yes, I, for one quite enjoy it.Just kidding!!
Now the reason I'm here walking in the first place?
~*insert flashback here*~
"Thank you very much, enjoy the rest of your day!" I hand the costumer their coffee and cash back.
"Thank you, you too"
They left.
"Alright, Aliyah, want me to lock up?" I ask the tall brunette who just came out of the employee room.
"Yes actually, that'd be awesome."
She shuffled around cleaning stuff up here and there. "I have to go to my parents house for a reunion they're having. It started at eight and it's..", she checked her watch. "8:45, shoot mom's going to be mad.""You better get going then! Good luck with your mom!"
"Thank you. I'll see ya tomorrow!"
She called as the little bell on the for rang as she left."Alright, come on self, time to get ready to leave."
I put my apron away and got my bag out of the back room. Okie, time for the part I hate.
Shutting the lights off.
I went behind the counter and sprinted flipped the switches simultaneously. Such darkness, very evil!
I quickly sprinted around the counter and around the little tables, out the door.Sighing in relief, I put a hand over my fast-beating heart. Hang in there little buddy. God that always gets my adrenaline going.
Turning back to the doors, I get the keys out of my pocket and lock it, watching my surroundings carefully.
Is it always this dark out? And the streets always so empty? There was no one outside. Just the dark street, lit every few feet by an eerie street light. Pieces of litter were on the sidewalks and the street. It was very creepy out. The moonlight was hitting off trashcans and some other places, leaving allyways extra dark.
I don't really like this place at night.
Right, then why am I just sitting here observing all of this??
I walk to my car, shining my phones flashlight to the back seat, just incase. When I knew no one was there, I got it put my bag next to me, and started my car.
Or tried to at least.
It wouldn't start! Out of all the times to stop working. Stupid car.
I looked around outside, and locked the car doors. I figured the best thing to do would be call my brother, and if that fails, my dad. Caleb would've been my go to man, but I don't recall ever getting his phone number. Plus knowing him, he's probably sleeping. His jobs pretty tiring for him.
I start dialing Jason's number. After a few rings it's picked up and I hear a voice.
"Heyy, Coralie what's up?" A breathy sounding Julia asks.
"Ya, I was just wondering if I could get a ride from work? My cars not starting."
"Well, me and Jason would come get you bu-", her words were interrupted by her moaning into the phone.
In shock and disgust, I pull the phone away from my ear. Well then. I can hear her scolding Jason from here.
"Righhht, ya I'll just call dad. Have fun, I guess? Use protection?"
