Chapter 16 Prequel

(A/N)

So this isn't the real chapter, but I just wanted to say what happens when they get home because chapter 16 will be when they wake up.

Warning: this will be extremely short, it's just a bit of important info I thought would be cute to put in.

It will be in 3rd person because I just want this to be simple and concise.

This starts after they get home and eat dinner (Caiden brings the dinner up to his room and they sit there eating and laughing).

So, here we go.

3rd Person's POV:

"Well," Caiden said standing up, "we best be getting off to bed- big day ahead of us!"

Katlyn groaned, "UGHHHHHH PLEASE CARRY ME."

Caiden raised an eyebrow, "Why?"

"Because," she said throwing a throw pillow (BA DUM TSS) at him, "I'm LAZY!"

He huffed, "fine," and picked her up.

Caiden carried Katlyn over, plunked her on the bed, got out her pjs, and tossed them so they landed next to her.

"Shoo shoo," Katlyn said while whisking her hands away from her, "I need to change."

Caiden got a sky idea and shouted, "can I watch?"

"I prefer you don't!" Justin teller from the other room, overhearing Caiden's shout.

"But I really want to!" He yelled back.

"Give the poor thing some privacy!" Yelled Margret.

"Why are we all yelling?" Asked Katlyn.

Justin replied, "To get the point across!"

Leah's voice broke through, "HOW ABOUT YOU ALL TALK THIS OVER IN THE HALLWAY BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO GET BEAUTY SLEEP!"

She was met my multiple shushed from many pack members and everything went quiet.

Well, that was before Katlyn and Caiden bust out laughing.

Caiden walked into the bathroom to change, and found Katlyn sitting on the bed with her-well, actually Leah's- dirty clothes in hand.

He took them and put them in the laundry chute in the bathroom (A/N: sry, I forgot to add that in the description :P), then kissed Katlyn's cheek, "goodnight, bunny."

She grabbed his arm as he turned around, "wait," and he looked back, "why are you leaving?"

"Because," he explained, "if I slept next to you and things got out of control, but you didnt want anything to happen yet, and I couldn't control my wolf, I, I, I'd just..." He finished, getting frustrated towards the end and taking a seat on the bed beside her with his his head in his hands.

Katlyn put a hand on Caiden's back, "shhh..." And he calmed down to finish barely above a whisper, "I'd never be able to forgive myself from taking away your innocence before you were ready."

She snaked her arms around his waist, "I know you can control yourself- you can! I just know it. You can do it. For me."

"Fine," he said turning around, smiling as he climbed in next to her.

Caiden wrapped his arms around her tiny frame and she sighed in content, "THIS is where I'm meant to be."

He smiled and kissed her forehead as he pulled her tight, "it truly is."

And with that, they both drifted off into a dreamless sleep, tangled in each other.

Ok so even though this wasn't a chapter (it was barely even anything), I think that it really showed the connection between them and the bond that is growing.
