The next day I put on my new jeans and I put on the red tank top. Then I asked my mom if she could put some makeup on me. I'm 15 I should be old enough. She let me borrow her mascara and said that was the only thing I could use. For once I think I look...pretty. I went to school pleased.
"You look different." My sister said as I got into her car."Good different or bad different?"
"Good different."
I smiled as she drove away.
"Avery! You look amazing!" Becky said as I walked up to her.
"Thanks. I feel awkward."
Which is true, I did. This is not my normal. I think I look good but I feel weird. I'm not wearing my typical jeans and a t-shirt. A lot of people are taking notice too.
"Hey, Avery. Looking good."
"You look hot today, Avery!"
"You go, girl!"
