The Fiery Tide

chapter 8

Annabeth's pov

We arrived back at camp half blood bruised, bloodied and with a few broken bones which we had sustained on Olympus after the girl woke up

Flashback

As Percy's hand touched the girl. her eyes snapped open and we were all thrown back by an unseen force which apparently had destroyed the room, which meant we were in full view of the gods but that wasn't a problem, they had been rendered temporarily blind at the sheer amount of power that had been circulating in the room.

We looked back to the girl and saw that she was surrounded by a black haze which was getting thicker by the second and the room was beginning to suck the life out of us only Percy seemed unaffected, I watched silently as Percy walked up to the haze, stepped through it and the next thing that happened shocked me , the haze disappeared slowly and the girl fell back into Percy's hand , before the gods were able to focus on us, Percy rushed forward grabbed Grover and I and together we plunged into darkness.

Few minutes later we tumbled out the fireplace into the big house startling Mr. D and Chiron; I looked towards Percy and the girl and saw that they were out cold

Percy's POV

I placed my hand on the girl to shake her awake, but as soon as my fingertips touched her skin her eyes snapped open and I was flung backwards by the amount of power that was radiating off of her, it was a while before I could see properly but as my vision cleared the girl was standing covered by a haze made of darkness, I looked at my friends and saw that they were growing pale by the second but I seemed unaffected by it so I walked forward towards the girl and stepped through the haze, instantly a sharp pain filled my head and more memories started to surface, I clutched my head, Hestia had warned me that it would happen and the more emotional the memories are the more pain there will be,I ignored the pain knocked the girl out and I quickly rushed towards Grover and Annabeth and we plunged together into the shadows with me accessing my powers.

I have been in a coma for the past three days just remembering every single memory I had and with each memory more and more pain accompanied it. I saw memories, pictures of everyone the campers, Grover, Thalia and Nico and Bianca Di Angelo(who I found out are my cousins).My whole body was a wreck considering the state of pain I was in, days have passed and I am still in a coma the pain had gotten so unbearable that I almost passed out in my mindscape until I felt a hand brush over my shoulder and instantly all the pain stopped. My vision started to get blurry as I slowly looked over my shoulder and then I passed out.
