Chapter 4: Roommate

A/N chapter not really proof read forgive the typos and misspellings also, top pick is not relevant to the story just thought it'd be funny.

After spending an hour in Ava's room I said goodbye to Ava and Juli who is Ava's roommate.

Juli was a bit shy at first but we eventually started talking, I found out that she got a scholarship for her to study in some medical field, so she packed up her things, filled up her truck and bid a fear well to Arkansas. Now shes here and turns out she and Ava are studying in the same field, what that field is you might ask, well I'll ask with you because I have completely forgotten.

Juli is actually the first out of 2 of her eldest sisters who actually wants to do something with her life. She's Hispanic and loves cooking like me. She loves Italian food but cant cook it and I love Mexican food but cant cook it, we also have a mutual agreement that we both need to teach Ava how to cook, because apparently her and Ian weren't allowed into the kitchen anymore after they 'accidently' burned food which somehow coincidentally happened an hour before they had guests come over.

Then Ava started to unpack some things she had which led for them to start decorating their sides of the dorm and I being the non roommate excused myself so I could decorate my room as well.

I opened the door and hanged my keys when I saw a second pair hung up as well, looks like my roommate is here. And by the sounds of it, taking a shower.

I go to the beds and see the other person has decorated their side.

He (I'm assuming the person is a he because of the boxers he has in the clear bins) has moved his study desk from under his bed to the side of he's bed and its bow facing the wall where he has his Apple laptop on the counter and has a tin with pencils, pens, clips, etcetera. There's also a mini book shelve thing on his desk so he can put his study books (which is smart) his bed has dark blue bedding and has one main pillow and a few throw pillows that are footballs. So he likes football, that's good, I love football, now I don't have to worry about shouting to loud during games. There are no blankets however so I'm guessing he put them in his closet. He has a small drawer which has lots of electronics and games, which is good because I also brought my fair of games. There are no pictures on the walls so I cant figure out who he is yet, I'll just have to wait till he gets out the shower then. Might as well start decorating my side and unpack the rest of my truck while I'm at it to, so I grab my keys and exit the dorm as I hear the water turning off.

I stand back proud of the decorations on my side of the dorm.

I connected my Apple computer and fixed it on my study desk so I could do my work and next to my study desk I managed to put up a pin board so I can put reminders and homework on it. I set the extra small drawer behind my study desk under my bed and but some keep sakes and picture frames on top and in the actual drawers put my undergarments and lady supplies in the bottom drawer, my games and electronic chargers in the middle and electronics such as my laptop, IPods, IPads, and accessories in the top drawer.
I put a white bedding with the imprint of a dream catcher on and put a sorta beach black and white blanket at the end and threw on some inspirational throw pillows on top. At the end of my bed is where I have a floral Ottoman that opens and closes so I can store my study books.
I also organized my clothes and shoes in my closet.

I head into the kitchen so I can feed my growling stomach when I hear a knock at the door.

"Hey Ava" I say opening the door so Ava can come in.

"Hey have you met your roommate yet? " Ava asks.

"No, when I came in from your room he was showering, so I went to unpack my car and went grocery shopping and when I got back he was gone, so I decorated my room and he still hasn't returned" I say looking through the food storage which is now fully stocked thanks to me.

"Weird, what you gonna make? "

"Chicken Alfredo" I say grabbing out the ingredients.

"Ooooh yummm I'll watch the new Chicago Med episode while you're cooking" Ava says while picking up the control and lays on the floor "you know so I don't get in your way."

"Okay have fun lazy bum"

"I will, have you see these doctors" Ava says wiggling her eyebrows. I simply chuckle and start cooking.

I ended up making a meal for 7 people because Juli came over and Ava said Ian texted and that he and 2 of his friends were gonna stop by his dorm then meet up with us at Ava's dorm, we didn't bother telling him we were right in front of Ava's dorm because we were to lazy. As for the 7th person, I decided to leave some for my roommate who has yet to appear.

Just as I was putting of the finishing touches to the food the door jiggles open revealing my roommate "I hope you like Chicken Alfredo because that's what I'm making" I announce turning back

"What are you guys doing in my dorm? " Ian asks once he sees me.

"You're dorm? " Juli says, "this is Emily's dorm"

"Oh so Emily is your mysterious roommate " Ava says finally putting it together which leads to various oh's around the room.

"Darn, I was hoping Id get a sexy girl" Ian mutters looking at the floor.

"Whats that supposed to mean ? " I ask putting my hands on my hips feeling annoyed and offended.

"Shit that's not what I meant" Ian groans now looking at the ceiling.

I scoff ready to fire back when my phone goes off. I look at the caller ID half expecting it to be my mom, when I see the name I feel all the confidence drain out of my body.

"c-c-can you g-g-guys excuse me, h-help you're s-s-selfs" I stutter and leave grabbing my keys not waiting for a response.
