Chapter 2- Oh, bother!

Hey guys! I'm back! I hope that you enjoyed the first chapter and now to the next.

Nathan's POV
It was the first episode of BookCraft that they would actually see me. I was going to be introduced on it. We had built on the server previously but off of recording sessions. I was really excited. Josh, Preston and I were already on a Skype call when Stacy started to record the next episode. I told Stacy that I didn't have a good microphone yet, which was true, but I just didn't want to speak to her yet. Of course, I wasn't going to tell her. We can talk from the chat box.

"It's your day, Nathan!" Preston started. I groaned in response. They were constantly getting on me for my crush on Stacy. I knew that the crush was small and they were blowing it out of proportion.
"I really hope that Stacy can't hear this call," I said.
"Of course, she can't. Only the three of us are on." Josh reassured. I agreed.

I spent the episode running around with Stacy. Josh and Preston were online for the support. I built the globe while she did the teepee. The recording was short. We didn't talk much but it was lovely talking to her.

We cut the recording and started talking again.
<stacysays> Great job on the globe!
<nathan_oneday> Thanks :)

I smiled at the screen. Even though this chat was a small one, I cherished all of it.

Suddenly, I was surprised by a certain Panda.

"You should ask her out?"'I looked at the computer confused. "The look you made when you were talking to her. It's kinda obvious."
"He's right. Good thing you don't do face cam." Preston commented. I simply shook my head.

After a few episodes, I started to talk in the videos. We had talked enough on Skype that I felt confident that I wouldn't embarrass myself. I held my crush in pretty well. At time to time, I wouldn't use my mic and only listen to what she says and reply from the chat. We had a good system going on.

Today, I talked in her video. We were starting a new book- The 101 Dalmatians. Josh joined us but we were PDawg-less.
I had a few cues in this video so I had to keep my ears open. I made a few mistakes in the video but I had fun.
I constantly got messages from Josh talking about us.
J: You're flirting.
N: When?
N: What did I say?
J: #Stathan
I ignored the last text to ban Josh off. I wonder what I said to make him think I was flirting.
J: Why'd you block me!!! >:(
N: Stacy had to sleep
J: I see. Doing what the girlfriend says. ;)
I ignored him again and continued to play with Stacy. We had gotten so natural around each other. We finished the episode and we started building.
I ended up building alongside Jaspanda. We spent an hour working before getting the message to cease the building. We would proceed on Tuesday.

It was Tuesday. I had the gang Skype and Stacy on the phone. We were about to film the Q&A episode. I would build and Stacy would answer questions from viewers. Stacy was updating the viewers and going the 'start of a BookCraft' routine. I had my phones mic on mute as the team chatted it up.

"Nathan, you're little crush is getting noticed by viewers." Preston pointed out.
"Yeah, haven't you seen the comment section?" the red stone engineer added.
"No, it's just shipping." I say with certainty.
"Nathan," Stacy called out. "You there?" That my cue. Automatically, I tap the mic on my phone to unmute the mic. I didn't notice and continued to talk to Preston and Josh.
"I don't care if I have a little crush. I work with her. It's never going to happen. It's nothing so just drop it."
The team was silent until Stacy coughed.  I could tell that she wasn't sick- the cough sounded off. I looked down at my phone to see that the phone was unmuted.
"Guys," Nathan starts with a pause. "I ...um... I unmuted it. I ... I'm going to leave now."
I end my call with Stacy and logged out of Minecraft.
In the Skype call, you can hear Preston start to laugh before it got cut off by him muting his mic.
"I did not." I said.
"I'm sorry." Josh replied.
Oh, bother. I can't believe I just did that.

I had this idea on the bus and I was BINGO! I was struggling to figure out how to put Nathan's awkwardness (which I live for) and him confessing. I wanted to be original. But I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I don't have to go to school today because I exempt my test and I have a few more days of school. I'm going on Tuesday and Thursday to take my finals and leave.
