I observed Hunter as he stood awkwardly swaying back and forth a few feet away.
He was around 5'7, had dark brown hair, and gorgeous blue eyes. He also had this killer smile. He was wearing black shorts and a navy blue shirt with white speckles. To top it all off, he had a black snapback on.
Let me tell you this boy was gorgeous.
"Hey I'm Hunter." He said cheerfully.
"I'm Michaela. This is Brianna, and this is Julia." Michaela stated while pointing at each of us individually.
I noticed Hunter observed each one of us, but his eyes were attached to mine for a slight bit longer.
Then he smiled.
Just looking right at me, he had this huge, grin on his face. I couldn't help but smile at the ground. Why is he making me feel like this?
He dropped his bag on the floor, and sat next to me.
Holy he smells hella good.
"So what do you guys do when you're dispersed here?" He asked anxiously.
"W-well, we have these fun little fights with toy bears, and we watch Netflix when we're done our homework." I stuttered.
He smiled at me and nodded his head.
"Hunter tell us a little about yourself." Brianna offered.
"Well, I used to live in Phoenix, Arizona. I moved to Canada because my mom really enjoyed this country when she viewed it on the internet. I like to play basketball, hang out with my younger brothers Ashton and Brandon, and read and write books or poems."
"I love books, poems, and basketball." I said aloud.
"Really? I think that's so cool."
"Yea." I blushed.
Brianna winked at me and nudged my shoulder while Michaela pretended to make out with herself. It really was something to watch.
I gently slapped them both and laughed a little.
"Hey it's recess in 5 minutes, let's get ready." Michaela stated.
We got up and started heading to the door that lead outside. As soon as the bell rang we all ran outside and spread apart.
Michaela and Brianna went to go find the skipping ropes, while I ran for the basketball net.
I turned around to find Hunter behind me.
"Wanna play 21?" He asked.
"You're on." I replied, smirking.
He picked up the basketball that was always in the bin of sports balls. He handed it to me and stepped back a little.
I stood a good metre and a half away from the net and threw the ball. It landed inside the net, doing a little toilet-bowl-spin before it fell through.
Hunter grabbed the ball from where it fell and handed it to me. I gave a shy smile and continued to pinpoint exactly where it should go.
I threw it and it missed the net, hitting only the backboard until it hit the ground, almost 2 metres away, in a diagonal direction.
This game is really silent. If I'm not doing good, God help me.
Hunter grabbed the ball and remained in his standing position. He seemed to be extremely far from the net itself.
He aimed, then tossed it, and the ball landed straight through the net, hitting the ground under it and bouncing twice.
"You're not bad." I said smiling.
