I had awoken the next morning, to a tear-stained pillow. I can't believe they're going at me again. I thought briefly to myself.
Today I was destined to have the most positive day possible. I was going to surround myself with good friends, good vibes, good everything.
My outfit was simple; burgundy leggings with a grey shirt with a mountain design on it.
I put my hair into a ponytail, and started for the door.
I checked my phone, just in case there was any new messages. There was one, from Hunter.
H: Goodmorning Jules💖
I smiled, knowing this day would immediately be better.
I walked down the stairs, grabbed my lunch bag, and headed out the door.
The school bus was waiting for me. I got on, and made my way to the back, beside Hayes.
"Yooo what's good." He said in his usual slang-tone.
"Man I'm so tired." I said.
"Aren't we all? School's a joke."
"Sometimes it's a joke, when it comes to the people."
"Ahh you're a real one Julia, knows what's true and what's not."
"I guess I am." I said with a laugh.
Hayes always had this "real talk" sound to his voice. It was important, but also funny when he used it for everything.
"Hey chatterbox over here, forgot about us?" I heard Michaela say.
"Shut up Banana I knew you were there."
"MHM YOU DID NOT!" Brianna said as she popped her head out from behind Michaela.
I started crying from laughing. They were such idiots, but they were my idiots.
"Does Hunter take the bus?" I heard Mario from one seat in front of me. He was sitting beside Bruna.
"Yea he told me he's usually the last one on." I answered.
I heard the bus doors open, and saw Hunter step in. He was wearing black shorts, with a pink shirt.
Now let me just tell you, he looks good in pink.
After letting my mind wander over to dreamland, I said, "Hey Hunter."
He smiled at me. "Hey Jules."
That nickname is what gets to me. I love it, and it's so cute when he says it ugh.
"So what're the plans for today?" Mario asked.
"Man asks a lot of questions." I heard Hayes say.
We all started laughing, while Mario was childishly punching the air.
"Well, today I have dance practice after school, and Michaela has yoga." Brianna said.
"I have to go to this fool's house to work on our project." Hayes exclaimed, pointing at Mario.
"Well, I have nothing to do." I said aloud.
"Wanna hang out after school?" Hunter asked.
I briefly looked over to Michaela and Brianna, and of course, they were pretending to make out with each other.
