Part 14

  Staying in the house is starting to drive you insane, there wasn't much to do and everyone in the house are all guys who are completely fine with doing whatever; This morning you almost got hit with a knife because once again L.J. and Jeff are fighting over something stupid. The other day, you say a side of one of the guys you didn't want to see.

Anything with News on you town is hidden from you still, guessing to avoid reminding you on why you're here. You had just finished your food, when you notice Jack heading out, "Where are you off to?" you ask, and he gives you look then shrugs. "Just a walk..." He replies.

"Oh can I join? It's kind of boring staying in the house all day you know." you say, messing with your shirt. "Sure." he shrugs and opens the door for you. You refused to go anyway near the river, after what happened before, unless you are with someone.

You two head out into the forest, Jack for the most part staying quiet while you guys walk. The forest though dark, is kind of calm today. You notice Jack walking towards a ravine, then hop onto a log that's knocked over. He gestures to follow, showing it's safe to stand on. You got closer and look down, it's a very long way down, you give a Nope face backing away. Jack tilts his head, then walks back over to you. "Close your eyes." He whispers, and covers your eyes with his hand.

"Wha-?" You say, before feeling him pick you up and start walking. Nervously, you open your eyes and realize he was already walking across the log. You grip onto him as he makes his way to the other side. Once getting there, he sets you down. "Th-thanks. Heights aren't my thing..." You say, feeling fluttered.

He nods and keep on his walk, "Do you walk this path often? Or just go wherever?" you ask struggling to keep up. He shrugs, "Most of the time I walk this way, but yeah I change it up sometimes." He says quietly, you two reach a clearing overlooking part of the forest. He sit down under a lone tree and leaning back, relaxing. You look around at the miles of endless trees, then slowly you shuffle over to the cliff.

"The forest really is endless." you say to yourself, as you stare out into the vastness of it, Jack stays silent. The evergreens, seems to dance in the wind below, fog covering most of the trees, the farther you look, the more the fog covers. However, in the farthest of distance you see what looks to be a black hole, something so out of place.

After a good 20 minutes you notice Jack is even more silent than usual, you get closer to him and poke his arm. Nothing, then you heard a small snore escape from his lips and you nearly double over laughing, but covered your mouth to stop yourself. "How can you just fall asleep so easily? Must be why he is gone for so long, and here I thought he was just play surgeon all day." you whisper, and throw your head back, watching the grey skies above.

Out of nowhere, you hear a noise come from the trees to the left, you spin towards the sound, but nothing, or no one is there. "H-hello?" you whisper, but hope you don't get a reply back. You listen closely, but only heard the sounds of wind rushing through the trees. "I swear I heard whispering just now...." you say to yourself.

You decide to gather your courage, and look over to the cliff again. Way down below you see just more tree, and jagged ends of the cliff sticking out. You start to get dizzy as your vertigo set in, and you take a step back, "Rather not have a repeat of the river, there would be no second chances if I fall from here." you say and look over to Jack, who has curled into a ball to sleep. "Seriously?" you say, giving him a strange look. You walk back over to the tree, where he is sleeping and sit down. You watch the moving clouds above go by and sure enough you fall asleep.

~time skip~

You yawn, awaking up. It takes you a moment, but you realize it's getting dark out. As you fully awaken, you realize you're moving. You look up to see Jack's mask, you try to move, but instead he keeps his hold on you. "Don't move." He says, and you give him a half puzzled, half tired look. He then hops down, with a heavy thud, you look behind him realizing that he was carrying you over the ravine again.

He keeps on walking, without placing you down. "Umm, you know I can walk for myself." you say quietly, he nods then places you on your feet. "Yeah, It got dark fast." he says, looking up then starts walking off again. "No kidding. I didn't even realize I fell asleep..." You say, then pause "Neh, Jack...you didn't take any of my organs while I was asleep, right?" you ask bluntly, Jack stops abruptly then snickers and shakes his head. The walk back seems quicker than walking away, As you walk into the door Jeff and Ben are standing there eyeing you two, stopping what they're doing.

"What?" you say, lifting an eyebrow, "Nothing" Ben says placing his arms on the back of his head. Jeff doesn't say anything, and walks off stomping his feet. "Did you piss him off again, Ben?" You ask, he shrugs then replies coldly "Nah, he is just being a b**ch again." Ben replies, then shots a look at Jack. "So.... what were you two doing?" He asks, trying to act all cool. "Chasing birds." Jack replies and walks out into the living room. "Wait...what?" Ben says, and chases after him, leaving you alone in the kitchen.
