Part 20

  You scream internally, trying to gain control of your movements. Every time you struggle to gain control, it's met with a painful shocking feeling."Now, ___ dear I'm in control. Don't fear... I may be inside you, but trust you have the perfect seat to their downfall. you hear the shadow speak to you in your mind, followed by a sensation of being touch from your soul.

Ben rushes for the Shadow, but every time the Shadow would open a trap to shallow him into Ben's worse nightmare. Luckily, Ben is quick on his feet and is able to evade his traps. Slender and His Brothers would teleport close, but somehow The Shadow would project a field of some sort to block them. It feels like he's eating at your soul to use for power, making him unstoppable.

Splendor gets closer than anyone does, but a trap opens up the last second, causing him to quickly jump back; He slips, and hits his head hard. You want it all to stop, but you couldn't. You don't even have the luxury to cry out; all you could do is watch them.

You struggle again to break free of his possession, despite the pain. Anger is now fueling your attempts to break free, feeling anger and contempt for him. "Come off it dear, you're not escaping me." he calming says, laughing a bit at your struggle.

Masky and Hoodie charges at you this time, the Shadow quickly opens up the ground inches in front of them, but luckily, they dodge out of the way of it. Toby, however, continues recklessly to attack. He almost catches the Shadow off guard, but only to gets tossed or kicked back. Both Jack's team up to attack as well, L.J. nearly stabs shadow, but he's quick on the reflex. You struggle in anger, the shadow just laughing with enjoyment. "Nice try, but it's useless, you'd probably die if you could get me to leave." The Shadow echoes in your head, but you ignore his taunts.

Ben came charging for you, along with the Jacks. This catches The shadow off guard, and knocks him back; Falling onto his back, Eyeless Jack holds his scalpel up, trying to stab you. "Would you really kill me...____ would be the only one that would get hurt." He hisses through your lips laughing, causing Jack to let down his guard for a brief moment.

The shadow then launches him off of you, and into Ben knocking the both of them down. "Now do you see how you fight in vain?! Attacking me would only kill ____!" He laughs through your lips, you fold your arms.

"But you forget, you're also vulnerable while inhabiting that body." Slender says sternly, clenching his fists.

"Maybe so, but to try to kill me will come to a price." He coos, a menacing grin forming on your face. "Not that any of you can come close enough to even harm me..." He finishes, staring down Slender.

"I've had enough of this Child's Play, What makes you think I can't kill you? I only hesitate for one thing. I don't take threats on things so lightly!" Slender says the ground shaking with his voice; Slender stands in front of you about 20 feet apart. The Shadow just laughs at his frustration.

"I don't think I have a choice any more, the need of one is outweighed by the needs of the many...._____Please...forgive me for what I'm about to do." He says, boing his head slightly. In a flash, his appendages become rigged, holding out his hand toward you. You feel your body become paralyzed, the mark on your shoulder starting to burn painfully. You feel The shadow become angry at this gesture, but then relaxes and laughs.

"You fool! I can just leave her body any time I want. You can't stop me like this!" He growls with a cocky smile, your body still stiff in place.

"True, but I can hold you in place long enough..." he says, turning his head to the right slightly. You, nor The shadow could look to see what he is looking at. Everyone stays silent, and doesn't move. You hear a quick shuffle behind you, then a painful sensation stabs into your back. You look down at knife that protrudes its way out through where approximately your heart is. Blackened blood spills out of you, soaking your clothing.

You body begins to move again by your will, or rather the shadows will. However, you out of your own will slowly reach for the knife, its blade dripping with your blood. "Shhhhh....go to sleep..." you hear a familiar voice whisper in your ear, the knife yanks its way out of your chest.
You fall to your knees, The shadow pulling outside of your body the black fog passing through your eyes and mouth as He too holds his chest. You watch legs walk pass you and over to The shadow, Slender walks over to him, along with Jeff. "Let's see how you fair in YOUR death..." Slender says, looming over the Shadow.

Your vision slowly becomes hazy; you can feel someone pull you into their arms. Pressure is applied against your wound, making you wince, a tear falling from your eye. You barely see Jeff stabbing into the shadow, this time him screaming in pain. He attempts to attack, only to be attacked by the other one. The others crowd you, blocking your view of the shadow. His bloody screams however, reach your ears.

You get a small window to the action, and see Slender rips off his head with a satisfactory crack, black blood spilling everywhere. You feel relieved, but it's short lived. Your eyes roll back, your body going limp, the taste of blood in your mouth. You focus along enough to get a last glimpse of everyone, and then your eyes shut, no longer feeling a thing.

~POV switch!~

Slender quickly makes his way to his brother Splendor, who gives a gently smile despite the blow from earlier. Everyone doesn't seem have too bad of injuries, excluding you and Jeff, but Jeff is a quick healer so Slender looks him over. Jeff however is still in attack mode, even after stabbing the Shadow relentlessly. Ben walks over, and gently place his hand on his shoulder "Jeff, time to rest..." Ben calmly says. Jeff snaps back slowly into reality, then asset the situation. He looks to his bloody knife, then over to you.

Slender makes his way over to your body, and gently lifting you up from the person holding you. "We must hurry, Might be able to reverse this. Ben, Toby! Help everyone up and make your way to the Mansion as fast as you all can. Understand!" Slender says, and then nods to his Brothers to follow. In an instance, all of brothers teleport out.

Ben and Toby rush over to Hoodie and Masky helping them up, they quick regain some footing. Both Jack's help the two proxies walk, since they're both only slightly hurt. Toby and Ben Help Jeff walk, all of them making their way slowly to the mansion.

It take some time, but they make it back. Ben and Toby set Jeff down on the couch to rest up, then help get Masky and Hoodie to their rooms to lay down as well. Jack, Ben, Toby and L.J. make their way to Slender's study. They open the door slowly; Slender, Splendor and Smexy are all resting from exhaustion. Splendor has his face buried in his hands, Slender is hovering over the desk and Smexy just leans against the wall with a smoke in his mouth. Slender looks up to the four and shakes his head "Not now" then shoos them away.

They all got a feeling that whatever the Brothers are doing hasn't succeeded, the four rejoined Jeff who was still laying on the couch grabbing his wound, trying to play off the pain. He looks up at the ceiling not saying a word, his eyes not focusing on anything. The house stays silent, and slowly they all drift into a long needed sleep.

Slender is the first to wake, then quickly wakes his brothers. They all get up and make their way to where your body rests, they have manage to prevent your soul from leaving, but the Shadow's existence is still residing in your body, eating you away. They aren't strong enough alone to rid the effects of it, but thanks to Slender's mark it's the only other thing helping you stay in limbo like state.

Slender paces in the room, just waiting like the rest of his brothers to show. With a *poof* two more figures appear in the room. Trender and Sin finally getting his message, Slender doesn't make a sound. He goes back over to your body; which has started to get a bluish complexion to it. Without question, the other two joined them, understanding what could of happen, if they fail.

In the room next to yours, Masky and hoodie wake up feeling better. Knowing not to disturb the progress in the room to their left, they make their way downstairs and begin to check on everyone's wounds.
Most are healed
up, though Jeff still has the large wound. The rest still had large cuts in their skin, but nothing that needs to be tended to. They make their way to the kitchen, and quickly make something for everyone to help regain their strength.

The suns last ray's reach out for one last time as it set into twilight. After a long while of waiting for the five brothers to emerge, everyone stares down to the ground in silence. The feeling of dread swipes the room, as they're reminded how easily mortals can pass by with a blink of their immortal lives.

The sound of the door opening causes everyone to stir and stand up. The brothers look exhausted as they exit the room, and descend the stairs slowly. There was a long pause from everyone, no sign of you at all. They all sigh, Sender stops on the stairs, and looks up waiting. Everyone holds their breathe; staring at the dull wall up the stairs, the room is dead silent.
There's a shuffle from the hallway, you slowly appear around the corner. Everyone sighs, and relaxes. Your appearance now taking on a paler, blue tone to your flesh, Other than that you look just like your normal self. Slender helps you down the stairs; everyone stays silent as you walk over to them.

They're all relieved that you have made it, and to see that fusing with The Shadow hasn't cost you your life. While you at first didn't enjoy the thought of being there against your will, with a bunch of killers and monsters. Over time you've came to enjoy everyone's company, even if they're unruly. You now have a new view of the world, and for a slight moment, you thought to share this with your friend, but shook it away. You did have a hard time accepting that you in a way died for a brief moment, only to be given a one of immortality. To now live as a fully-fledged Proxy.
