Goodbye my friend

After hours of waiting in this damn hospital they finally gave me some news on green. "Sir we have some good and bad news." They said. "Well what's the good news?" I asked. "Green made it through surgery and is okay for the moment."
"Then what's the bad news?" I quickly asked showing relive on my face. "He is going to be sent into rehab for at least a year." "A whole year?! No I can't live with that." I said. I was not about to leave green when he needed me most. "We're sorry but he has a drinking problem and we need to-" "no" I interrupted. "He does not have a drinking problem.." So I wanted to believe. "Sir he's sleeping right now but if you want you can go see him."
Without another word I walked to the hospital room green was in. I watched his body lay there helplessly. I wanted to pick him up and take him home with me but I couldn't. "Green I know you can't hear me but I want you to know that....that I-I love you...but right now you need to get help." What was I thinking?! He is in here because of me, if I didn't pressure him to drink he wouldn't be here. Red looks down at the floor. "R-Red?" I suddenly hear green's voice and look up to see him awaking up. "GREEN! Awh green I've missed you so much!" I begin to cry a little at the thought of him being okay. Green looks at me smiled then looked in the other direction again almost as if he didn't want to see me. "Green is everything alright?" I waited for a response and after awhile he said. "Your voice...I heard your voice when I was close to death your... voice kept me going." I said nothing I stayed surprised. "G-Green I have something to tell you...I lov-" I was interrupted by two doctors that came in to take green to rehab. "What's happening red what's going on?!" I looked down at the floor and told him "Their sending you to rehab...." I took a look at his face...he was crying h-his face had tears running down. "Red please don't let them take me away.." I looked at his sad face and said "I'm sorry green..." They began to take him away all he did was holler my name over and over I began to cry I couldn't help him this time. "RED PLEASE I LOVE YOU!" Everything stopped I looked up when he said that and I saw him struggling to come back. And with those words said they took him away from me before I could even say I love you back. Yellow and blue drove me home cause they could see I was in to much pain. Yellow looked over at me and said "it's only a year red." Blue responded with "yeah red you can visit him." "No" I quickly responded "they told me not to see him..." They seemed to try their best to keep me and green separated. It wasn't long after that they dropped me off my house,that news reporters surrounded me and asked questions. They obviously didn't care that I was hurt..so they asked questions like... "Where's green?" "Is green gonna be okay?!" And "are you and green dating and if not why did you scream I love you?" I tried to keep it in but I finally snapped. "could you leave me alone? Can't you see I'm having a hard time and you're gonna ask me these questions....green's life is private and so is my life so I'm not going to say anything on this topic."  "Sir but you're the champion." So is green. I replied.
"No he's not you bet him so now you're the champion." JUST BECAUSE HE ISN'T THE CHAMPION ANYMORE DOESN'T MEAN HE NEVER WAS HE WAS STILL A CHAMPION AND ALWAYS WILL BE JUST LIKE THE GUY BEFORE GREEN HE WAS A CHAMPION BUT JUST BECAUSE HE ISN'T NOW DOESN'T MEAN HE WASN'T AT ONE POINT! I walked into my house and didn't come out...I was hurt I needed green here with me.
