Day Eighteen: Rewrite an urban legend or fairy tale.

"No, Ansley, you can't be serious? Ballet? You belong in the water, not on land!" Sav was fuming, I could tell. His cheeks were tinted just a shade darker than his bright ginger hair, and that was a troubling sign for sure.

"Sav, I've always wanted to be a dancer. I've always dreamed of it, and now that the school is starting a dance team, I think I should try it out." I said, hoisting the duffle bag further up my shoulder. Sav narrowed his eyes at me.

"And just forget us all down here at the bottom of the sports chain? Just because hardly anyone knows about the swim team doesn't mean you can just quit on us. We need you."

"Sav, please try to understand..." I tried to speak, but he continued to talk.

"It's because of that guy, isn't it? What's his name, Ethan? Even?"

"Eli."

"Eli! Yeah, it's because of him. He's not even that cool of a dude, Ansley. He walks around like he's crown prince or something, and everyone is just supposed to be his following subjects."

"Sav, I'm not going out for the dance team because of Eli." I narrowed my eyes at him. "I'm doing it because I think this is where I belong."

"I can't believe you. Turning your back on your family. The Flounders have a great chance of winning this year, and you're literally throwing it all away. You can't do this Ansley, please don't." Sav practically begged, and this time there was no color in his cheeks.

"I'm sorry, Sav, but I've got to. It's where I belong."
