Chapter 5: Fun Day out (Part 1)

I woke up in the morning to the smell of muffins. I sat up slowly in my bed and looked around me. No one else was in the room. 'They must have all gone down stairs' I thought to myself. I pushed my covers off me and checked the time. "Hm, it's 9 am," I said out loud to myself.

Hmm.... Should I greet everyone first or freshen up?" I thought for a while. "Nah, cleanliness is next to godliness!" [If you get the reference, then you get cookie ～(^з^)-🍪]I said walking into my bathroom to freshen up. After 30 minutes, I got out of the bathroom. "I'll just wear a hoodie and sweatpants for now." I walked to my closet and got out my favorite band hoodie, t-shirt and a pair of black sweatpants. "I'll just put some socks on." I said walking towards my chest of drawers. I took two of my favorite pairs of socks and decided on which one to wear. "I'll put on one of each!" I put the socks on and made sure I was fine and my room was clean.

I then walked out of my room and went down the stairs. Once I got to the bottom, I heard the T.V. was on and noticed Nirvana sitting on the couch, watching Spongebob Squarepants.

'Alright, she's over there...' I thought to myself. I decided to sneak up on her to give her a fright. As I approached her, Taaliah came out the kitchen a greeted me... loudly. "How's it going fam!" Nirvana turned around bin her seat and noticed me [I have been noticed by the Senpai ^ω^]. "Oh, 'sup (Y/N)!" she greeted then smiled. 'Dang it' I thought to myself. "Hey! How's your morning been so far?" I asked. "It's good. I woke up a few minutes ago," she said, energetically.

"Cool," I said, grinning. "I'm going to say hello to the others," I said walking towards the kitchen.

"Hey guys!" I greeted, smiling at everyone. "Hey," replied Alisha. "Sup!" Alexis exclaimed. "Hi," Andrea said, smiling. "Suh Dude" Trish said, waving. "How ya doin'?" I asked, in a sing-song voice. "Fabulous, darling!" Taaliah said walking into the kitchen. "Well, you two woke up in a good mood today!" Alisha said, laughing. "I'm just happy today!" I said, walking towards the fridge. "I wonder why..." Alexis said, wiggling her eyebrows. "Oh shush!" I said, laughing at her. I took a bottle of apple juice out the fridge and poured some of its contents into a glass. Remembering the smell for earlier this morning, I asked, "Did someone make muffins?" Alisha beamed at me, happy that I noticed. "We all did!" Alisha said, proudly. I looked around the kitchen to see where the muffins were. "They are still in the oven," Andrea said, "They'll be done in a few minutes," she said, looking at a near by timer.

"What flavors did you make?" I asked, taking a sip of my drink. "Blueberry," Trish said. "To start the day off with something healthy!" Taaliah said. "You and your health obsessions," I said, chuckling. We waited for a while, in silence, before Nirvana ran into the kitchen. "Slow down there!" Andrea said, laughing. "What's got you in such a hurry?" Alisha asked. "Sorry, I just wanted to say that we shouldn't stay at home for too long. We should start getting ready soon if we're all going to make it to the cinema, " Nirvana said, pausing to breathe. "I want to get there early. When it's not so busy."

"Well, I've already prepared to go," Andrea said, smoothing down her outfit. "I assume the rest of is just need to get changed?" Taaliah asked. "But I'm hungry... " Trish said, pouting and crossing her arms playfully. At that moment the, the timer on the oven went off. "Yes, finally!" she exclaimed. She began running towards the oven and threw open the door.

The kitchen was then filled with the sweet, sweet smell of homemade muffins, fresh out of the oven. "Oh my goodness... They smell divine!!" I said, inhaling the smell in the air. "GET SOME!!!" Trish exclaimed, moving to grab the trays. "Woah! Wait!" Alisha said, rushing to Trish's side, then slapping her hands away. "They are still in the oven you dumb bum!" Alisha said. "Ow!" Trish said, rubbing her hands.

"You could have burnt yourself!" Andrea said, getting oven mitts out of the drawer. "Did you forget about your safety?" Alexis asked. "You need to be more careful," I said. "Y'all literally just turned into a group of mothers," Taailah said looking at everyone, then at Trish. "But you seriously could have gotten hurt."

Trish then looked at everyone in turn and said "Are you all scolding me?"

"Oh no... We're just worried that you could have hurt yourself." Alisha said. "Yeah. But listen, you can have the first muffin. To make you feel better," Andrea said, pulling the muffin filled tray out the oven. "I'm not a child... But thank you!" Trish said, beaming. "But they have to cool down a bit first." Andrea said. "So let's keeps them in the oven for the time being, then we can grab a few before we leave and eat them on the way to the cinema." Nirvana said. "Alright, I'm going to go get ready." I said walking out of the kitchen and up the stairs. As I was walking, I started thinking about what had happened yesterday and planning the rest of my day for today.

When I got up to my room, I went back to my closet to pick out an outfit for the day. I took at a pair of black ripped jeans, a black tank top and one of my oversized jerseys. I then took out a pair of black lace up boots [Too much black?]. After changing out of my previous clothes and putting on today's outfit, I folded each item of clothing and put it back in my closet. I then went to my bathroom to fix my hair [A/N: I'm not a massive fan of makeup, sorry].

I went back into my room to pack a few things into one of my small back packs. I took my phone and a set of spare keys and put them in my pocket.

Going back downstairs, I noticed no one else had come down yet. While I waited, I decided to pit the muffins into Tupperware boxes. 'They'll just take one when they come down here.' I thought to myself. I took two small boxes and put six Blueberry muffins in each tub. Then I took one out for my neighbour. I walked back out of the kitchen to see everyone huddled together. "Uh, what's going on here?" I asked. Everyone quickly turned and Taailah put her phone in her pocket.
"She was just showing is something," Trish said. I looked at all of them, yet again. I just decided to drop the subject. "The muffins are in the kitchen..." I said, pausing. "I just need to give my neighbour the spare keys. I'll be back in a few minutes." I said, walking towards the door. I opened the door, and felt a the wind blowing a gentle breeze onto my skin. It seemed that the weather would not be too hot, or too cold. I walked down the pathway and turned towards my neighbours house.

I knocked on their door and waited patiently for someone to answer. A woman then opened the door and greeted me with a smile. "Hello Y/N. Nice to see you today!"

"Good morning Miss Applebee." I greeted, smiling back. "I wanted to ask if you would not mind watching my house while I'm gone." I asked, handing her the keys. She nodded, taking the keys from me, and said "Not at all, dear!"

"Here's a muffin, to say thank you." I said, giving her the muffin. "Freshly baked!"

She grinned as we said our goodbyes. I started my walk back to my house. I noticed Alisha's car was outside, parked on the driveway. 'It will take less time if we drive there,' I thought, opening the front door.

"Alright guys, we can go now!" I said, breaking the silence. They all stood up from the couches and walked out the lounge. I quickly went to go grab a muffin for myself from the kitchen. I made sure that I had everything I needed with me before I exited my house and locked the front door.

"Do you mind if we use your car to get there Alisha?" Alexis asked. "Sure," she replied, taking her keys out of her bag and unlocking her car for us. "I call shotgun!" Nirvana said, sitting in the passenger seat. "Good thing it's a seven seater." Taailah said, climbing into the back with Trish. I sat in the middle with Andrea and Alexis. Nirvana and Alisha in the front.

Alisha started her car and reversed off the driveway. She started making her way [downtown. Jk XD] down the road.

A/N: Terribly sorry for the long wait. Again. This update has been long overdue. Things have been happening. Things that keep me busy. School, moving houses, etc. But! I'm always happy to update. And I feel bad when I don't.
