Without a word, he pushed himself off the wall and walked away, leaving Ariana standing in the cold and locked out of the club.
"Babe, are you ready yet?" Nathan yelled from the bottom of the stairs. He didn't want to rush his girlfriend, but they were going to be late for the party. He wanted to be there before the paparazzi left.
"I'm almost done!" she yelled back, smiling at herself in the full length mirror as she snapped another picture.
Ariana wanted to change it up a bit, so she kept her brown hair down and curled, split in the middle. It was a completely different look than what she was used to, but she really liked it. She adorned a black, backless dress that had a low-cut and revealed a bit of her cleavage. It also had a slit that showcased her leg, which she found absolutely sexy. And she hoped Justin did too, if he was going to the party.
Sighing, she shook her head; she couldn't think of Justin tonight. After taking a few more pictures, she snatched her clutch from the bed and walked down stairs, careful that she didn't trip with her 6-inch heels on.
"Wow!" Nathan exclaimed once Ariana made it to the bottom of the stairs. "My girlfriend looks absolutely gorgeous."
Blushing, Ariana pecked Nathan on the cheek before the couple made their way out of her house and into the escalade. "Thank you. You look great yourself."
"Well, I can't show up next to you and not look like a million bucks," Nathan said, opening the door for her to step in.
With a nod as a thank you, she picked up her dress and crawled into the vehicle, her boyfriend right behind her. The car began moving and they were off to Billboard Music Awards after party.
Ariana was never a huge fan of award shows, especially the red carpet part, but she decided that it would be fun to dress up and show up to their after party. Plus, Nathan was upset with her that they couldn't show up to the red carpet together, so she felt like she had to make it up with him by showing up at the party, at least.
They made small talk in the car; Ariana already bored out of her mind as Nathan again started to talk about how they needed to be more public with this relationship.
Hello? Did he forget that they were just fake dating?
After the whole incident with Justin, she decided that she was going to be angry with him. He never let her explain, and he made it seem as if she purposely wanted to hurt him, which she didn't. It was frustrating for her the first two weeks after their fight because she tried so hard to talk to him and try to explain herself and fix their friendship, but he just ignored her calls and completely shut her out.
So she stopped trying. She ended up saying, "Fuck it," and went along with the whole 'Nariana' thing for Scooter and has regretted it.
At one point, she realized that Nathan was only really using her for her fame. He didn't love her, or even like her. He just needed the media boost, and that was all she was to him.
The car slowed to a stop in front of the club that the party was being held at. The driver walked out and around the corner, opening the door for the two. They were immediately blinded by the paparazzi's camera lights as their security pushed them away to create a path towards the entrance.
Nathan grasped onto Ariana's hand, while she used her other hand to shield away her face. She didn't like the blinding lights, and she didn't want her face everywhere entering a club, even if it was an award show party.
Nathan on the other hand, was smiling his big, goofy grin, making sure he looked at pretty much all the cameras. He wanted his face to be everywhere, and he knew that everyone knew he arrived with Ariana Grande. And even if they didn't, at least it'll be talked about, right?
