"I'm not mad at you." His hand grabbed onto the doorknob. "I'm just disappointed."
Justin's hands gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white as he sped down the highway, ignoring every speed limit sign he passed. His eyes were glued on the road ahead of him, only ever actually paying attention to the road when another car was nearby.
It was almost 10pm, and it was foggy as to how he ended up from the studio to driving aimlessly around the huge city of Los Angeles.
He didn't know where to go. Or what to do or what to think. How could Ariana do this to him?
How could Ariana go behind his back and see another guy? Yea, she wasn't his in the first place, but the least she could've done was tell him. Tell him to save him from having such high hopes of ever getting with her.
The worst part was the fact that she lied to him. She said that there was nothing going on, but clearly she didn't care enough him to say anything.
justin: you free today? let's hang out
ariana: aw i'm sorry j, nathan and i are having breakfast before our meeting with scooter. we just finished recording Almost Is Never Enough and we have to talk about movie/album plans
justin: you're always with him ): you've been hanging out with him all week, i miss you
ariana: i miss you too! we'll hang out tomorrow, i promise!justin: we better. and you better not have anything going on with nathan. ur mine
ariana: when was i ever yours? ;) but don't worry nothing is going on between me and nathan.Nothing is going on between me and Nathan.
"Fucking liar!" he yelled, slamming the wheel of his car, accidentally putting pressure on the horn and the sound echoed the empty highway.
All he could hear was his sobs and heavy breathing, as he slowed his car down. He didn't see any other car in sight, but at this point, he didn't care.
This was Selena all over again, except he didn't expect this from Ariana.
He shook his head, and looked back up onto the road. He noticed a familiar exit, and he could feel his heart stop. It was Ariana's exit.
His eyes blinked rapidly, staring down the two roads of the freeway. He could keep going or confront Ariana. He knew he didn't have much time left to decide.
Justin could keep going, and just cut Ariana off completely, now that she has Nathan anyways. She didn't need him. He was a distraction. She didn't have to tell him about what was going on with her life, because she didn't care, right? Why should he? He shouldn't feel the need to face her when all she did was hurt him and lie to him this whole time. He shouldn't feel bad for her.
But he knew, that no matter what, feelings this strong don't just go away. He loved her, he still loves her. Justin couldn't just not say anything to her, even if he had to go through her tears and her guilt and her "I'm sorry"s. She hurt him, she lied to him, but she still was someone he cared about deeply. He didn't want to lose her, but he knew he had to think of himself.
Justin knew what road he was going to take, and he stepped on the gas pedal, speeding into the exit.

"I hope you had fun today," Nathan said shyly, opening the door for Ariana to step out.
Ariana grabbed his hand, letting his lead her out of the car and to her front door. "I hate to admit it, but I actually did have a lot of fun today, thank you."
She smiled sweetly at him, and he smiled in return.
"I think that took care of the whole 'announcement' thing you were so worried about?" Ariana questioned him, raising an amused eyebrow at him.
