Chapter 8

I woke up in the nurse's office, Nat was leaning over me crying. Ana and her boyfriend were sitting on the bed next to me, Ana was holding my hand. "What happened?" I ask looking at the nurse. "You passed out. Your mother is on the way and she will take you to the hospital." The nurse responds while taking my blood pressure. "Paige are you okay? Where you dizzy?" Ana asks me moving closer. "Uhm I I don't really remember." I say while trying to sit up but I just end up falling back down. "Don't try and moving baby. Do you want water or your phone, I'll get it for you babygirl." Nat says kissing my hand, and grabbing my phone for me. I wait on my mom, when she gets there they move to the car and Momma W follows us to the hospital in her car. They get me in a wheelchair and then moved to a room. "Sweetie what happened?" My mom asks me brushing my hair back. "I don't really know, I was going to the office to get Momma Wallis stuff and then ran into a new kid and well you know the rest." I say looking for the water bottle Nat had handed me. "I brought your stuff from the classroom hun, and the coffee I got you." Momma W says while handing me the coffee. I check my phone and see Starla and Jake have sent me a ton of texts. I read Jake's first. "Hey what's up." was the first on and the rest mimic it except one "Im sorry if I scared you last night when I said you can vent to me, I just meant well nevermind. See you Sunday." Humph that's weird, I go on to read Starla's text. "Gorgeous it was so nice to hear your voice I miss you!", "HOE FACE RESPOND TO YOUR LOVER!" Hahah that sounds just like Starla, I respond to her telling her I passed out at school and that I am at the hospital and will talk to her later. Now to respond to Jake. "Hey Jake, sorry I uhm kinda passed out at school and now I am in the ER. I cannot wait to see you Sunday. And you did not scare me by saying I could vent to you." I respond just as Nat is calling me. "Here I'll answer darling." My mom takes the phone and answers. "Hi Nat, we are waiting on the doctor. I will have Paige call you after she has rested." Mom gives me the phone back after letting Nat say he loves me.

Loves me... Ha! Thats funny after he pretty much called me a slut last night. Mom and Momma W let me sleep until the doctor comes in. They run test and draw blood, but all I care about is the fact that I am starving now and want to eat. They finally come back and say it looks like my iron is just low which means nothing to me because I am on my period and already know I have lower iron on my cycle. They release me and we go to eat. I got to pick where we went so I picked IHOP. After we ate, mom took me home so I could sleep.
