Chapter 7

I wake up and my makeup from the day before is covering my face. I jump in the shower and try to not think of my fight with Nat.

After I get dressed my phone starts to go off. I walk off to check it and I see it's a text from Jake. "Hey I didn't get a chance to ask you how your shoulder is doing yesterday." I try to ignore it but end up responding. "It's good bro, yesterday was a bad day. Sorry." He replies almost instantly and I can't help but want to smile and scream. "Alright, well why don't you come in Sunday, get it touched up and you can vent to me doll." WHAT THE HELL? "Yeah, how's like 7 that night for you?" I reply and start to grab my stuff for school. He responds "great can't wait :)". My life just gets more complicated by the second.

After I get to school my phone starts to go off again but someone from Haughton is calling me. "It's Paige what's up?" I say wondering who it is calling me. "PAIGE OMG I MISS YOU! IT'S RUBY!" The girl yells, who just happens to be my best friend from Haughton. "Ruby? Damnnnnn girl I have missed you. How are you?" I respond instantly knowing my day is looking up. Ruby and I grew up together she gave me the nickname Rose from the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I started calling her Starla after she became obsessed with staying up super late to look at the stars at midnight. "Great Rose, how about you?" she responds and my heart warms, no one besides her and a few others like my ex Tyler or Angle and one of my childhood ex best friends calls me Rose. "I am fine now that I am talking to you Starla, look text me though hun, I am walking into first period. Love you!" I say rushed hating that I have to hang up because I have school. Starla is a year older than me and a year ahead in school. She graduated last year, where as I graduate this year. "Morning momma W." I say to my first period teacher. She's my math teacher but also like my school mom. "Morning Paige can you run down to the office and check my box, then grab the copies from the copy room." She asks me handing me the pass. "Of course!" I say and set my backpack down underneath her desk. "Paige, there is a Iced White Chocolate Mocha in my fridge for you also." Momma W tells me. I hug her and say thanks then run off to get the stuff for her from the office. My phone starts to vibrate, gosh why am I popular today of all days. I go to check it and end up running into a new kid going into the office. "Paige Morgan?" the kid says, there is only one person who calls me that in the world. "Ah fuck me!" I yell out knowing this complicated week just went to hell. "Hey there." I respond but end up passing out.
