There once was a beautiful young girl who lived in Los Angeles. She had golden locks that fell to her lower back, with eyes bluer than the ocean.

Her name was Alice, or more famously known online as @AliceWonders. Yes, she was a social-media queen. Famous for her selfies on Snapgram, her post on twimblr, and her make-up tutorials on youbook. With a following base as big as your average real celebrity. Not that she was any less fabulous than the biggest pop star or actress.

Alice lived and breathed social-media so she documented most if not her whole day on these social-media platforms.

@AliceWonders: going shopping downtown today! Say hey, if you see me <3

Just as any other Saturday Alice headed downtown to her favorite shops. She liked to shop alone since she always took her time in every store. After going down the same shopping route as usual, Alice soon felt bored with the same shops and the same routine every other weekend.

"I wish something new and retro would be built here," Alice said aloud to herself followed by a sigh, "only in a world of my own."

Alice continued shopping, picking up a few sample pieces for her closet. After the 9th store, Alice mindlessly walked passed a small shop hidden in what seemed like an alleyway. Alice retracted her steps after realizing what she had seen.

"If the mall gods aren't looking out for me!" she squealed in excitement.

@Alicewonders: new shop! Can't wait to see what's inside!

After Alice posted her status, she put her phone in her bag and headed down the walkway. A large sign above the door read retro cool. 'Not the most creative name,' Alice thought to herself. She pushed open the door, a small chime let the owner know she had entered.

Astonished by the new style of clothing, Alice couldn't help but feel everything. Alice grabbed every pretty piece of fabric she could and headed to find the dressing room. A kind young Asian woman helped her with her clothing and waited for Alice to hand her any rejected clothing.

An hour had passed and Alice couldn't have been more pleased with the store. She was so distracted with trying on clothes, she hadn't even touched her phone since she entered.

Alice headed to the register with a pile of her new favorite things. As the woman rang her items up, Alice placed her purse on the counter and looked around for anything she might have missed.

Alice's eyes met with a small camera to the right of her. Alice walked over to the camera, curious of its unique design. A small note card placed near it read: Be our guest, take a selfie.

Alice smiled to herself, "Well, if you insist."

Alice adjusted her hair till she thought it was picture perfect. She looked behind her, checking her background (as any good selfie taker does). She could see the woman still ringing up her items. Alice lifted the camera facing her in the perfect angle. She smiled wide and clicked the shutter button.

The ground shook and Alice's surrounding became pitch black. "What happened?!" Alice yelled out. Alice remained surrounded by darkness. "Hello? Ma'am?" Alice continued to yell hoping for an answer.

The ground shook once more, this time, causing Alice to fall to the ground and dropping the camera. When Alice looked around, she could now see a faint white light. Alice crawled towards the light, fearing if she stood up she'd lose sight of it.

The light became brighter and wider as she got closer. She crawled through a small entryway and became engulfed in the white lighting. Squinting her eyes trying to adjust to the brightness, Alice stood up, she could see a large wooden door at the end of the room.

"What is going on here?" Alice asked walking towards the door. She tried the knob but it wouldn't open. "It's locked, great. I think I'm being kidnapped," Alice sighed in exasperation.

"You're a bit too big to be a kid," a small voice spoke.

"Who's there?" Alice asked looking around.

"Down here!" the voice yelled. Alice looked down to find a small door next to the much larger one. Alice bent down to get a better look of this stranger talking.

"Hello?" Alice asked not seeing anyone to place the voice with.

The doorknob on the small door opened his eyes. Alice jumped back in fear. "I'm being pranked, aren't I?"

"I assure, that you aren't," the doorknob replied offended by Alice's remark.

"Doorknobs don't talk!" Alice argued.

"If I don't talk, how is it we are having this conversation?" the doorknob argued back, "You see, this isn't your world, things aren't as they seem. Things are what they're not and not what they are."

"My world? Where am I?" Alice questioned looking around hoping to see something besides the white light.

"Why, you're in Wonderland." The doorknob said.

"How did I get here?" Alice questioned, confused on how any of this was real.

"Heck, I don't know, I didn't follow you here!" the doorknob was growing impatient with Alice, "Maybe you should go explore and stop yapping with me."

Alice was afraid to ask any more questions, but knew she needed to ask just one more.

"Uhm, sorry to bother but how do I get out of here?" she asked with caution.

The doorknob sighed, "Behind you is a bottle, drink it."

"There isn't-" Alice turned and to her surprise there was a table with a small bottle with purplish pink liquid. Alice wasn't sure if she should drink the liquid, she wasn't even sure this was all happening.

"Well go on, I don't have all day," the doorknob insisted.

'as if a doorknob has places to be,' thought Alice as she sipped from the bottle. Within seconds Alice shrank. Soon she was as tinier than a mouse. Alice observed her new tiny body, but the doorknob interrupted her mid-thought.

"Now hurry, you must be going; days can only get shorter." The doorknob opened the door to let Alice out.

Alice looked outside, it was beauty at first sight. Fields and fields of green surrounded her. The sky was blue and the sun shinny. Alice stepped out and took a whiff of the air. fresh air, she thought. As Alice turned around to thank the small doorknob, the room had vanished and she came to a path.

This way, a sign read pointing down a road. 'I suppose I should follow the sign then' Alice thought as she walked down the path.
