Alice walked down the path that was leading her through the forest. Alice kept going over what Mei-Yun had told her about the queen.
'Could she truly be as evil to kill the former king just for a silly crown?'
Alice closed her eyes trying to imagine what the king might have looked like. With her eyes closed she didn't see the large stick in front of her causing her to trip. "Seems I'm always falling in Wonderland," Alice looked around her not getting up.
"Who's there?" Alice could hear giggles from multiple areas of the forest. Alice rushed to her feet, "I know you're out there!" Alice yelled out.
Alice looked down to dust her skirt off. "Alice, now you're hearing things, you're mad I say," Alice let out a small laugh before raising her head.
"Ahhh!" Alice screamed as her eyes came in contact with two twin sisters looking right back at her. The girls looked about six years old, they wore yellow dresses with blue and white detailing and red bows in their hair.
"Hello, hello," they sang out with wide smiles plastered on their faces.
"Hi," Alice responded hesitant.
"Sorry for making you fall," the twin on the left apologized.
"But it was funny," the twin on the right laughed.
"It's alright," Alice made her way around them continuing her journey.
"So where are you going?" they both asked at the same time.
"If you must know, to visit the queen," Alice mumbled.
The girls stopped in their tracks. Curious, Alice turned to face them but they were gone.
"Award for creepiest twins goes to-" Alice whispered as she turned around, she jumped back.
"Can you stop doing that!" she demanded, the twins looked at her blankly.
"She was invited?" the twin on the left whispered to the twin on the right.
"Invited where?" Alice was confused.
"Awkward," sang out the twin on the right.
"Look, I need to go," Alice became frustrated with the twins.
"Her attitude matches her looks," whispered one of the twins as Alice moved around them once more.
Alice sighed and turned back to face them, "What are your names?"
"Tweedle-deena and Twiddledum-Ella," they greeted with a curtsey.
"I'm Alice," she spun on her heel and continued to walk.
"Alice is a funny name," giggled Tweedledum-Ella
Alice laughed, "My name? My na-? I can't even."
"You can't even what?" asked Tweedle-deena.
"No, it's a saying, like I can't even believe what you just said," Alice explained.
The girls looked confused. "Forget it," Alice waved them off.
"Do you need help to find the queen?" asked Tweedle-deena.
"No, I don't need any help," Alice replied looking at the twin in a mockery tone.
When Alice turned around she bumped into a tree branch, Tweedledum-Ella was in front of Alice giggling, "You sure you don't need help?"
Alice groaned in annoyance, "Just tell me how to get out of these woods!"
"Follow us," Tweedle-deena smiled as her and her twin skipped down the path.
Alice shook her head as she followed behind them.
