As the sun shined down from the sky, the warm air circulated the small town, a warm breeze whisking through the town centre. Sitting on the bench with another book in her hands, Elena's eyes scanned over the words across the page as she listened to instrumental music to keep her concentration and blocking the rest of the world out.

Standing across the street wearing his usual black t-shirt with a pair of tight denim jeans that highlighted his toned buttocks, finished off with a pair of black biker boots was Damon who wore a pair of aviator glasses and a smirk appearing on his face. Lou, the scrawny 'friend' of his walked towards him bumping into his hard, muscular shoulders causing him to stumble back. Damon turned towards the scrawny guy and shot daggers at him. Jumping back, Lou gasped and shook his head quickly. "I'm sorry, Damon," he apologised quickly, "I didn't mean to bump into you, I just wasn't looking where I was going."

Damon rolled his eyes with disgust behind his mirrored aviator sunglasses before they returned back towards Elena. "Why does she always have a book in her hand?" Damon asked with disgust, "It's not right for women to read, they should be at home making dinner and doing what women should be doing."

"She's alone, Damon," Lou smirked and elbowed him a couple of times softly, "Go and speak to her, now that she's on her own she can't turn you down."

"Maybe I've warn her down and she's realised that we're perfect for one another," he smirked, "Both being incredibly beautiful and well, is there anything else that's important." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of gum. Throwing a piece into his mouth he patted his scrawny friends shoulder heavily, causing him to wince Lou closed his eyes and held back the pain. Stepping off the curb Damon made his way over to Elena and sat down beside her. He rested his arm over the back of the bench and turned his head to look at her. Elena, who noticed the shadow casting over her book rolled her eyes knowing who it was, she slowly looked up from her book and forced a smile towards him.

"Damon," she said sarcastically, "What a pleasure it is to see you again."

"Ah, so you agree with me too," he wiggled his eyebrows, "It's good that we're seeing each other again."

"I was being sarcastic," she stated, "I thought a guy like you would've known that. But oh that's right, the only brains that you have are down there." She nodded towards his crotch before flashing a cynical smile and her eyes returning back to the book.

"Elena, why must you always have you nose stuck in a book?" He wined, "Women shouldn't be reading, they should be at home making dinner for the men."

"Oh my god," she scoffed angrily, "I can't believe that you've just said that," she raised her eyes and shot angry eyes at him, "And how about this, I swoon over your handsome looks, and your charming smile, and your toned, muscular body in the process whilst you lift me up in your big strong arms and rescue me."

"Well," he smirked and shrugged his shoulders, "That wouldn't be a bad thing after all."

"Seriously, Damon," she hissed, "Learn to get when I'm being sarcastic." She slammed her book shut as she rose up to her feet quickly, she turned as she began to head towards her house. Damon reached out and grabbed her arm preventing her from moving. She looked over her shoulder quickly and glared at him. "What are you doing?"

"Stay, Elena," he asked her charmingly, "We can spend some more time with each other, get to know each other and finally see that you want me."

"Excuse me?" She glared.

"You know that you want me," he smirked, "You know that you want to be with me, as I'm handsome, charming and well, just look at me, I'm just your dream man and we're destined to be together."
