You Found Me (A Reed Deming Fanfic) Chapter 8- horrific scene

Reeds POV (right after he got home from being with Kat)

As I walked into my room, I instantly plopped onto my bed. I wasn't really tired, I just wanted to be alone. I wanted to be able to think about Kat and smile like an idiot without my mom or Blake thinking I need to go to an insane asylum. I can't believe that so much crap happens to her! I wish I could take all of the pain and hate out of her life and transfer it into mine. I would do anything for her. I know I would. I mean, everything about her is perfect. Her brown hair with the natural blonde streaks, her big, bright smile, her tomboy style, and her amazing personality. I was daydreaming about all of this when I realized, I have a perfect view of Kat's room! Oh my god, we can have little chats from our windows! But, I should probably get some curtains. Thinking about all of this, I laid down, put in my headphones, and sat there thinking about her. I was sitting there for maybe 10 minutes, until I heard something. Something loud. It wasn't coming from my house. It was a loud bang. I looked at the time.1:22am. My mom leaves for work at 4:30am today, so I know she went to sleep early, and Blake is dead asleep by 8:30pm. So where the hell was that noise coming from? It went from banging, to yelling. Fear swept over me as I quickly sat up looking into Kat's window. (At this point of the fanfic, look up Nobody's Home- Avril Lavigne for dramatic effect. DO NOT CONTINUE READING UNTIL YOU DO! Thanks) There, I saw who I guess was her dad screaming in her face, while lifting her up off the floor against the wall. Then, to my horror...he punched her. Straight in the mouth. There was instantly blood. She tried to run, but he pushed her down and started kicking her...hard. At that point I was out my front door and banging on her door.

"KAT!?!KAT?!?" I screamed hoping she was well enough to answer.

Then about 20 seconds later, her very drunk dad answered the door

"W-what the hellll do you want?!" He yelled

"Where's Kat?" I whispered, not because I was scared, but because I was pissed he hurt her.

"HA!!! Y-you want her? Why? Oh wellll. I guessss you just dumb. I'll gooooo get h-her."

He walked half way up the stairs, then stopped. Kat was laying on the step, covered in blood. He was dragging her unconscious body by her feet.

"KAT!!!!!" I exclaimed trying to run through the door.

"IF YOU WALK IN THIS HOUSE I'LL KILL HER!!!" Her father screamed at me. I immediately obeyed, not wanting him to hurt her anymore. Then to my horror, he threw her out the door, onto the ground. Then he slammed the door shut.

"OH MY GOD KAT!!!" I was freaking out. I looked at her limp body. Then I quickly picked her up(she was unusually light), and ran with her bloody and bruised body in my arms.

"MOM!!! MOM!!!" I screamed. Practically begging for help....from anyone.

"OH MY GOD," my mom screamed "WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?!?! THE POOR THING!!!

"I'll explain later, JUST CALL 911!!!!" I said. My mom grabbed her phone and was talking( more like crying) to the paramedics. While she talked to them, I looked at Kat. The girl who made my world feel whole again, after just one day of hanging out with her. She HAS to be ok. I will loose my mind without her in my life. I love her. I need her to be with me. Then, the paramedics rushed through the door and put Kat on the stretcher.

"Can I ride with her?" I asked a lady parametric, desperate for a yes.

She gave me a long look, then a sympathetic smile.

"Ofcourse."

I quickly hopped in the back of the truck, and took Kat's bloody hand as we rode to the hospital.

"Please, PLEASE BE OK!!!" I screamed to myself in my head.

OMG! WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?! Ok sorry if there's a lot of mistakes. I wanted to post before I hade to go out to dinner so I didn't check that well. Hope you enjoyed this chapter! ~Kat
