You Found Me (A Reed Deming Fanfic) Chapter 10- Hospital Trip

MASONS POV!(good job if you guessed it :))

I love her. There was no doubt about it. I needed her to know that what happened with me and Jen was nothing, because that's exactly what it was. Nothing. I'll admit, I thought Jen was gorgeous, but nothing close to Kat. Jen wanted me to help her make her boyfriend jealous(which worked due to the fact that there back together) so she said if I didn't make out with her, she would tell the whole school about Kat cutting. After Kat ran away from me at the park, I walked behind her so I could try to talk to her. I was about to walk up to her house when, I heard a bang. A loud bang. Loud enough for me to hear, and I was across the street. Then I heard yelling. Kat had told me while we were dating about her messed up dad, but I didn't think he was this bad. I was now starting to run up to her house, but someone else beat me to it. He looked about my age, and had a bieber haircut. I was about to walk up and help out, but then he did something that I wouldn't have even done. He knocked on the door. I wasn't close enough to hear what Kat's dad was saying to this mystery boy, but I could tell by his demeanor that he was very, VERY, drunk. I saw the mystery boy clench his fists, showing that he was getting pissed at this guy, which made me wonder, why was he so concerned with Kat? I should be watching and protecting her, not some random punk. Then something awful happened. Kat's dad THREW Kays unconscious body the door. Her body slapped the concrete. I was now running to help Kat, but this mystery boy had to come in and save the day. He picked Kat up bridal style, and carried her into what must be his house. Great. They were neighbors. I hope they aren't dating. He doesn't seem good enough for Kat. I'm the only one meant for her. Then my thoughts were interrupted by an ambulance rushing past me, the sirens making my ears ring, and the lights hurting my eyes. They immediately barged through mystery boys door and rushed Kat out on a stretcher. Then I saw this mystery jerk take Kat's hand. Why the hell was he holding her hand?! God nows not the time to worry about that. I watched as the ambulance pulled away. Then without thinking, I ran. I ran behind that truck until I lost it. I stopped for a second to catch my breath and then it was gone. I couldn't even hear the sirens. So I I frantically asked people on the street how to get to the hospital. Most of the people who I asked, looked at me like I was freaking Dracula, but finally a young couple told me which way to go. I ran as fast as my feet would take me to the hospital. When I finally got there I ran straight inside. I was at that point freaking out.

"WHERES KAT COOK?!" I asked the front desk lady.

"I'm not sure if she's allowed visitors yet. You can wait with that gentleman over there." She responded

I looked over to where she was pointing and saw him. Mystery boy. I walked up to him and said

"How do you know her?"

He didn't bother looking up at me. He replied in a very familiar voice. I know I've heard it somewhere.

"I'm her.......best friend." I could tell he was desperate to say Boyfriend. Then I realized, this was Reed Deming. I remember Kat and I would snuggle up on my couch and watch him perform on X-Factor, and Kat would just drool over him. I always hatted that. He would have all of her attention. This made me not like this guy even more. I mainly didn't like him because I could tell.... He liked her back.

"Just her FRIEND right?" I snapped at him.

"Umm who are you?" He asked sounding pissed off at me.

"I'm Mason. Kat's ex."

He finally looked at me in shock, then asked,

"What happened with you two?"

"Well ummmm... She thought I was cheating."

"Were you?" He asked in an angry whisper

".............." I couldn't respond. I technically was cheating, but against my will.

"Huh, that's all I need to hear." He said, looking at me with a disgusted smile on his face. Then, he stood up right in front of me. He wasn't as tall as me, but he was wearing a muscle tank and I could see he could pack a punch if he needed to. Then he said,

"I want you to leave, and I'm pretty sure Kat wouldn't want a ass like you here either."

With that I looked him in the eyes and said,

"Make me."

He looked me straight in the eyes and said,

"You might be the kind of dumbass to fight, but I'm not. I'm hear for Kat. I'm not sure why your here. I'm just gonna let you know, you lost the most amazing, wonderful, beautiful girl you could get. She deserves better than you. By a lot."

Then he walked down the hall to the café. I could already tell that this guy was no one to mess with, but for Kat I would take the risk. Then a nurse came out of Kat's room. She looked at me and asked,

"Do you know where Reed went?"

"Yeah, he went to the café."

"Oh well could you go get him please?"

I thought about it. Going to get the terrifyingly buff guy who I can already tell despises me. Well, good thing I don't get scared easily.

"Ok." I finally replied

As I started walking down the hallway, I bumped into someone

"Sor-"

I was I interrupted when I looked up to see the Reed.

"Oh, the nurse wants to see you."

"......thanks" he replied

Then he started walking down the hallway. I was only a few feet behind him when I heard the nurse say

"Reed, she woke up."

As soon as she said that, he ran to her room. I started walking up behind him but the nurse stopped me and said

"Why don't you give reed a minute."

OMG SO MUCH DRAMA!!!!!! What do you think about the Mason and Reed situation? What do you think about Mason showing up at the hospital? So much I want to know. Please tell me what you think below. LOVE YOU ALL MY LOVELIES!!!!!! <3~Kat
