The next day the three Truscott children woke up early, had their breakfast, and went to explore the village. "Don't go too far or out of the village boundary kids. You are still not familiar with this place.", said Mrs. Truscott. "Don't worry Mum, I will take care of my younger sisters.", said Dirk. "Thanks but we can take care of ourselves, or at least I can.", said Sarah.
"Hey catch me if you can !", said Dirk breaking into a run. Sarah and Phyllis started running behind him, all of them laughing and giggling. At last they all were very tired and were panting. "Hey look here's a small wood, mind sitting under a tree?", asked Sarah pointing. "Yes, we will get many types of animals there.", said Dirk beaming.
They sat under a tree and when they had got back their breath, they started exploring. "Look, theres a wild cat over there..... Look at that bird, I have never seen these kinds of birds before.....", Dirk went on saying. "Hey have a look at this butterfly, its so gorgeous just like a butterfly fairy !", said Phyllis. They spent much of the time roaming around here and there.
On the way they met many interesting people, all of them simple, cheerful and helpful. Dirk asked one of them, "Hello I am Dirk Truscott and we have recently shifted to the cottage beside the cottage of Mrs. Heff's. These are my sisters Phyllis and Sarah. Can you tell us about some places of interest in Inglehampton?". "Hullo my name is Simon and this my younger brother David. Nice to meet you. We live at the other side of the wood. You can get many interesting animals and birds in the wood. There is a hill, people call it The Sugarplum hill, I don't know why. You get a very good view from there. Then theres a lagoon nearby it. The water is crystal clear. Theres the farm. You have a church here. Its remarkable. I don't remember of anything else.", said the elder boy.
"Thanks a lot.", said Dirk. "You are welcome.", said Simon smiling, "Please do come to our house if you ever go to the other side of the wood. We would be very glad.", said David. "Sure.", said Dirk shaking hands.
"Lets go to this thing called Sugarplum hill. The name is funny indeed.", said Sarah. "Indeed it is.", said Dirk. "Is it made up of sugar plum ? Almost like Hansel and Gretel...", said Phyllis. "Of course not. Phyllis be a little more realistic.", said Sarah. They took directions from people and went there. They climbed the hill and at last they were at the top. "Wow this is amazing.", gasped Phyllis. "So it is.", said Sarah looking around the village. The view was really amazing. They could see the whole village it seemed. Lush green fields, small brown cottages, ant-sized people, dark green woods. Though the children had been to skyscrapers earlier, yet this had some magic in it.
"Oh the wind is so cool, isn't it?", said Phyllis. "Yes.", said Dirk. "I feel so fresh and revived. The city seemed so suffocating.", said Sarah closing her eyes and stretching her arms. "Thats true.", said Dirk trying to imitate Sarah. "Can you spot our cottage?", asked Phyllis. "No its rather difficult, maybe after somedays we will be able to locate it. You know what Dirk, you are looking really funny in that posture.", said Sarah. "Duh, I was trying to imitate you but girly things cannot be imitated by me.", said Dirk. "Oh shut up. It wasn't a 'girly' thing, as you call it.", said Sarah sourly. Before Dirk could give a counter argument, Phyllis interrupted "Don't you guys feel hungry? Its noon already. I think we should head home.". "Yeah nice idea.", said Dirk getting distracted.
As they got off the hill, Dirk said "Wait a sec. I forgot which way we came from. Oh no.".

Dear readers,
This chapter is not so exciting I know. Actually you know what, I have already finished my work. I just copy paste it from MS Word. And I had written it without dividing it into chapters. So the length is varying. I am very sorry if you think its too short. But anyways thanks for reading. Stay tuned. And never stop dreaming.
Yours sincerely and lovingly,
Ana :)
