For The First Time In His Life He Felt Despair

The sun was his guardian.

It hid within him,

illuminating his mysticism.

The brightest light on the

darkest days.

Clouds never fell across his

ocean blue sky.

Remnants of radiance

hidden

in every crevice

of his skin covered

canvas.

Bright eyes,

luminous smile,

a halo of glistening hair.

He could light any room,

with a measly grin.

Until the night

the sun fell from the sky.

She was darkness dancing

with the stars.

Careless and drunken

her lips met another's.

Supernovas lit the sky and

burnt the sun to ashes.

Darkness commenced,

dragging ashes of wrath

across an unsuspecting earth.

Shadows dance under tired eyes.

Where did your light go?

Keep your head in the sky.

One day you'll be fine.

If she is the moon and you are the sun.

You don't need her to shine.
