As she placed some of her furniture she had bought from some of the stores here, Fidget sniffed every inch of the floor before finally laying down not in his bed but just outside of it. She thought to herself, how could anyone not want the responsibility of this amazing, energetic, happy, loving and sweet little puppy. He was just what the doctor had ordered for Morgan. Together they would reach milestones and achievements hand in paw. After putting some of her belongs away Morgan made herself some lunch as she fed Fidget his lunch. They both ate together enjoying each others company.
They both finished their delicious food, Morgan slid on her shoes before hooking up the leash to Fidget's collar and off they went for a nice afternoon long walk. In the beginning of their walk they met a nice lady with one of the great danes that was also at the adoption event. Morgan and her chatted about how great it was adopting them and how they've changed their lives. She found out that the lady named her puppy Buddy and the two of them got along great. The lady had to get going so they continued on their walk and decided to go in to this newly built dog friendly cafe. The cafe had an adorable overweight long haired kitty. He was wearing a cowboy hat and at first Morgan was scared not knowing how Fidget would get along with a cat but just like everything else she was nervous about he amazed her. They got along great and they both played together and shared a dessert. It was love at first site for Fidget, he didn't want to leave the kitty at the cafe. Morgan told him that it was okay and they would come back to see him another time. Finally getting out of the cafe they continued their walk.
Shelter staff had told Morgan there is an arena downtown just passed the cafe where she could get some of Fidget's energy out with a sport. Morgan had signed Fidget up for some lure coursing classes, bought all the essentials she needed and made her way there to join the junior cup class. Entering the building she realized its just a one on one class to get him used to the mechanics and the furry colorful tail he had to chase. The coach said since this is first time 10 minutes should be enough for him to get the hang of it. Hooking up the blue and white lure tail to the wire she got behind Fidget holding his collar and the coach made the lure go as she let go of him. Fidget ran after the tail, slowly at first because he has yet to get muscle, but he started running a little faster towards the end of the class. Coach was blown away at how fast the little pup took to the class. He said that Morgan should sign Fidget up for the Junior cup competition that was in 2 hours. Shocked by the news, Morgan asked the coach if he really believed Fidget could win. He told her that he hadn't seen any other puppy in his classes get so excited over the tail until later practices. Thinking it over for a while she decided she would sign her boy up, thanked the coach for the amazing practice and said she would be back. They both left the gym and headed home so she could bathe him and get him all ready for the competition.
The minutes passed by so quickly it seemed like for Morgan. She couldn't believe it was already time to leave with her sparkling clean pup. She put on a brand new red collar and headed out to the competition. Walking inside she sees the bleachers are filled with people, her breath was taken away. Signing Fidget in at the booth she got his number and headed over to the starting line. Two other puppies were there, a black and white husky named Solider and a brown and white piebald basset hound named Penny. Just like they practiced, Morgan unhooked Fidget's leash and held him by the collar. In a quick instance the noise went off, they started pulling the lures and everyone released their dogs. She couldn't believe it, the coach was right, Fidget was in the lead and catching up so fast to that lure they had to speed it up. Morgan screamed and shouted cheering him on as he crossed that Finish line leaving the other puppies in the dust. He was so happy getting that furry tail in his mouth. Fidget was the happiest she has ever seen him. Thinking to herself, what other sports would he be good at? She would have to wait and see as their bond continued to grow brighter each day.
