"Li Mei, stop pulling your brother's hair!" Yao scolded their daughter, gasping as she stuck out her tongue and darted away with a quickness only a child possessed. "You little-!" He shook his fist at her in an empty threat, Ivan laughing quietly behind him. "And what are you laughing at?" He set his hands on his hips, cocking one to the side. "This isn't funny, aru."

"Da, it is pretty funny." Ivan smiles, his cheeks pressing into his indigo eyes with a child like sweetness.

"No it's not." China crossed his arms.

"Yes it is." Russia mocked him, doing the same and slowly moving forward.

"No it's not- eek!" He darted away as Ivan started to chase him, running into the kitchen and managing to get the island between them. "Don't give me a heart attack, aru!" He scolds, using the nearest things to throw at Ivan. It happened to be a plastic spoon, which bopped him on the nose. Maliki was sitting at the table, doing his math homework and watching with a bit of amusement. He also had a few hair pins and some ties, trying to politely get his mother's attention.

"Mama," he was careful when walking over and tugging delicately on his sleeve. "Can you help me with my hair?" Maliki didn't like having his sister tug on the silvery strands, so he tried to keep it up as often as he could.

"Of course, turn around." Yao took a hair tie and the four pins, quickly braiding and securing Maliki's hair out of his sister's reaching fingers for now. He spun around and gave him a quick hug before going back to his homework.

"You're so good with them." Ivan placed a sweet kiss on Yao's neck, hugging his waist with both his arms. "How do you do it?"

"It comes naturally, I can't explain it." Yao turns in his hold, wrapping his arms around his neck and giving his lips a quick peck. "And don't get any ideas! Two is enough for now. Wait til Maliki's at least 14, then we'll talk."

"Well, we wouldn't really be talking, we would be-." China covered the cheeky Russian's mouth with his hands, a dark blush coating his cheeks.

"You want to talk about that, you can give the kids 'The Talk'." Ivan licked Yao's hand to get him to let go, which he did in disgust. "I swear you are more of a child than Li Mei is!" He shutters going to the sink to disinfect his hand with a whole bar of soap.

"Daddy, can I have some help with my poster?" Li Mei had her light brown hair up in twin braids down her back, her body the height of a Sunflower wall poster. That's about four feet.

"Of course, Sunflower." He takes the bright gold flower from the child, letting her lead him up to her room and save China for a little while longer.

"A complete child!" He shakes his head with a sigh, even though he is secretly smiling.

That night was movie night! The kids were on the floor in front of the TV and Ivan was on the couch with Yao half on his lap. The siblings had decided on The Dutch Girl, an older movie about equality... or that's what Yao thought. He couldn't really remember and he wasn't really paying attention.

Right now he was quietly nipping on Ivan's ear to get his attention. It wasn't working very well. He shifted his legs so he was now sitting side saddle in his lap. Russia rose a brow but kept watching.

"I swear you love to frustrate me, aru." Yao said quietly into Ivan's ear, kissing his neck once.

"I do. It's fun." His childish smile was back, a smile Yao wanted to slap and kiss off of him at the same time. He went with the second option. He pressed their lips together, not even a few moments passing before the two children made uncomfortable noises.

"Eww!" They wrinkled their noses, the two older nations falling apart laughing.

"You guys will be the ones we are saying eww towards in a few years when you find someone you like a lot." Yao picked up Li Mei, Ivan the same with Maliki.

"I'll wait a while." Li crossed her arms and wrinkled her nose. China looked at her with pride.

"I'll gladly agree with that."
