"Care killed the Cat. It is said that "a cat has nine lives", yet Care would wear them all out" - Dictionary of Phrase and Fable by Ebenezer Cobham Brewer
"Tomorrow, we go for war. Tomorrow we will storm the prison, Durant. We must save our home and our country", a proud man said
"Yes father, I won't let you down", a young strong boy said, Durant
"We will make France great again! And overthrow the French monarch, those pigs!", Durant's father said
France, a day before a revolution. A revolution that will change the country's history forever. Paris, the city of love will soon be the city of bloodshed. Durant, a young French boy, living with his father in Paris soon to face a mob that will storm the prison of Bastille. The prison known before as a fort, was built to defend the east side of Paris by the enemy, the British, but nothing will stop the threat of their own kind. The monarchy was slowly losing its grip of power. The fearless people want a change, a better change, a new republic
The French were strong, nothing could stop them from beginning a ten year revolution even when a threat shocks the whole of the country, the French stay strong!
Liberté, ègalité, fraternité!
It was nighttime, men outside were shouting and praising of a revolution yet to come, all drunk, all proud and expecting for this to end in one whole day
"Those idiots, thinking this would finish in a single day, this will probably take years to end", Durant's father said while looking through their window
"How long do you think this will take father?"
"Oh years Durant! This revolt against our 'monarch' will take years to end, who knows, it might never end"
Durant who was still young couldn't quite understand what his father said but still acknowledged his father
"Do you think we will see mamma?", asked Durant
"I hope so... I really hope so", his father responded, he seemed lost in a thought, staring into the blank open for just a minute or two, then he regained his mind and returned back to Earth
"Right, I think it's time for you to go to bed. We need to get up really early in the morning, goodnight Durant", he said as he pointed Durant to his room
"Goodnight father", Durant said as he slowly headed upstairs to sleep
He slowly made his way up to bed, head first, drifting off to sleep
"ANARCHIST!", a man in a uniform shouts
"NO! Please, don't take me away! Don't leave my little baby alone!", a woman shouts
A baby cries, a mother is taken away from her son to be locked away from her son, to be locked up forever. Men in uniform and armor pull the mother away
"DURANT! Durant! My baby!", Durant's mother shouts out to her baby. The guards of a prison are taking away Durant's mother to prison for protesting against the monarch. Durant's mother is being sent to Bastille to be locked up for nine years
"No!", a man shouts as he falls to the ground and cries his way to revolution. The new revolution will set her free, hopefully...
