"Durant... Durant! Wake up!", his father says as he tries to wake up his son

Durant who is deep in sleep slowly wakes up from his father's call, slowly as if a mummy who has just awoken from it's tomb

"We need to go, come on!', his father says as he quickly gets dressed and in a hurry to join the others

It's early in the morning, the morning fog consumes the Parisian city, nothing can be seen from miles on end. Durant and his father quickly leave their home into the bitter cold and join the other thousands of French men and women

"Are we ready to go?", a tall man asks Durant's father. His father was the leader of the mob that was about to attack Bastille. He and many other men formed this plan to revolt against the monarch ever since Durant's mother was taken

"Ready", his father boldly says. Durant, who was standing right beside him was scared, like every person should be. Maybe even his father, behind his bold posterior had fear consuming his insides

Durant stood strong and pushed forward, hoping to see his mother once more. Closer and closer to Bastille, the mob walked faster and faster. The fight was almost about to commence. Bastille Day was not far from beginning

The guards of the prison started to panic when they saw a huge mob with firearms slowly but increasingly slithering towards them, the boundary walls soon began to crumble with the fear of the mob. The entrance to the prison was an arched entrance, the only way in and out of the prison

"ALARM!", a guard shouted

"WE ARE GOING TO BE ATTACKED, SECURE THE BASTILLE!", another guard shouted after

There was no turning back now, they could only push further inwards. The mob still walking towards them awaited Durant's father's go-ahead

"ATTACK!", shouted his father

"FOR FRANCE!", shouted the mob

The mob now started running towards the guards, shooting their muskets and pistols. The guards did the same. Shooting began to ensue, people were being shot left, right and centre and killed from either side. Bodies piling up, death stenched the whole of France from that day forward

"We're getting the upper hand!", shouted Durant's father, laughing happily until a-
