"Finally practice is over!!" I yelled running to Jeremiah and jumping on him. He picked me up so he wouldn't fall and I grabbed his face and started kissing him. We finally pulled apart and he put me back down on the ground.
"You're in a good mood for it to be five o'clock in the afternoon." Jeremiah told me.
"I'm just trying to be carefree before tomorrow." I said. We had met up at a park that was a little out of the city so we could be alone.
"College isn't that bad." He replied grabbing my hand and walking me to a nearby bench.
"It's still school and I got a job which is good but I'm going to be really busy." I told him.
"You really do get stressed out a lot." He said.
"I know it's a curse." I groaned before sitting down on the bench next to him.
"We will still see each other." He said knowing that that's what I was so worried about.
"Of course it'll just be harder." I replied looking down and he grabbed my hand to hold it.
"I have an out of town game Sunday so we'll hangout tomorrow and the rest of the week." He told me and I nodded even though I knew we probably wouldn't.
"Why did you want to meet at the park?" He asked me when I didn't say anything else. I was being extremely quiet lately because I was so stressed. I had gotten the job at the store which was crazy cause I didn't have to go for an interview but that was the power of Rebecca's connections. So now I was back to juggling work and school again. I felt like I was in high school again and that made me feel trapped. I was ready to move out of state already.
"It's peaceful here." I finally answered.
"You alright you seem distracted today." He told me.
"And you don't seem distracted for once." I replied. "Practice must have went really well."
"Actually it did, this is our year I can feel it." He said and I smiled at him.
"You haven't lost a game yet so I think it is too." I told him standing up.
"Where are you going?" He asked me looking up at me.
"Come find out." I told him before walking off towards the swings.
"Vanessa really!" He called after me and I turned back to smile at him. He started running towards me so I started running too. I don't know why, I never ran and he's a football player it wasn't like I could out run him.
"Why you running from me?" I heard him ask right before he picked me up and spun me around. I screamed when he threw me over his shoulder.
"Really Jeremiah again?" I asked. He always seemed to pick me up like that.
"Yes really, since you wanna run." He answered before setting me down onto a swing.
"Push me while you're up." I demanded and he walked behind me so he could.
"You know what I was thinking?" He asked as he pushed me on the swing.
"Is that a trick question?" I asked him back.
"Stop being sarcastic." He answered me and I laughed.
