Coming back from California just reminded me of how much I hated my hometown. California was beautiful and now we were back in this dead state. When we had gotten back Sunday Rebecca was already gone. It was still sad to me that my friends were leaving but me and Kasey video chatted with them Monday. I was currently on my way to Jeremiah's since I had only had two morning classes today. It was Tuesday so that meant no practice and I got Jeremiah to myself. Of course I had to work later but I wasn't complaining I needed the money.
"Finally you're here." Jeremiah said as I walked in to his exercise room.
"Do you ever relax?" I asked him as he continued doing his push-ups.
"When you're here since you're so lazy." He answered before getting up off of the ground.
"I'll give you a hundred dollars if you can do five push-ups." He said.
"I don't need or want your money." I replied and he rolled his eyes.
"I forgot you're miss independent." He told me.
"Miss independent that's why I love her." I sang an old Neyo song to him.
"And you turn everything into a song." He said.
"I can't help it, people make songs about everything." I told him.
"Alright if you do five push-ups I'll never call you lazy again." He said changing it up.
"I can't do push-ups so I guess you'll be calling me lazy." I replied as he lifted up his shirt to wipe the sweat off his forehead. My eyes traveled down his body looking at his abs.
"Stop staring." He told me when he pulled his shirt off.
"Make me." I said and he threw his sweaty shirt at me. "Gross!"
He chuckled "How was class?"
"The usual." I mumbled not wanting to talk about it. People were still amazed by the fact that he had showed up at one of the parties. Which meant there was still a few people out there that thought I was his hoe. Everyone had heard about me because they wanted to know my relation to him. It had died down a little of course since this was college and no one really gave a damn about other people's business.
"What are you thinking about?" He asked me.
"Nothing." I answered.
"Don't lie, you can tell me anything." He said.
"It's nothing people just think I'm you know...your side piece." I told him.
"Why do they think that?" He asked confused then his face fell. "The party."
"It's not your fault." I said.
"I shouldn't have showed up it wasn't professional." He replied.
"Our relationship isn't some job." I said.
"That's not what I meant." He replied. "I'm really sorry though."
"It's really not a big deal." I told him. "You really need a shower though."
"You saying I stink?" He asked moving towards me.
"No but you've been sweating so I bet you musty lowkey." I replied.
"I'll go shower then damn." He said before walking out of the room.
"What am I suppose to do though?" I asked following after him.
